Job Summary
The Sr Market Insights Analyst is responsible for assembling market level data, providing analysis and assisting the Area Market Leaders in using information to develop action plans to grow the Optimum subscriber base and minimize churn. This role will utilize reporting assets to develop market level KPI scorecards, geographic digital maps, and competitive trending. The senior anal yst will work cross-functionally with the Market/Region to collect data, correlate multiple data sources, and make actionable recommendations to Area, Region, and Market leadership.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the centralized Business Intelligence (BI) team to develop Area, Region, and Market level reporting to assist leaders in assessing growth, churn, and competitive trends.
- Develops, maintains, and reports all relevant products, site, customer, and financial metrics and applies findings to assist leaders in the development of appropriate goals, budgets, projections, and forecasts.
- Reports and analyzes local sales channel and event data to better understand effectiveness of deployment and tactics within each Region/Market
- Partner with the Market Research team and evaluates competition and competitive trends and make recommendations to leadership on prioritization of competitive response efforts.
- Partners with HQ Market Insights team to provide additional context on market and competitor level trends.
- Creates visuals using spatial data and mapping software to assist with targeting.
- Leads the analysis and reconciliation of data and reporting projects and initiatives delivery for assigned regional area.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Provides budget, forecast and variance analysis and related reports as needed.
- Conducts financial research, analyzes financial performance against objectives and determines emerging financial trends.
- Provides rationale behind reports and analysis and relays them in simple terms.
- Creates and maintains statistical/financial databases and reports. Runs appropriate weekly, monthly and annual reports.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support area performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in data, math, stats, Econ, insights or related field in data/business analysis
- 4years+ experience in an analytics role
- Strong problem-solving skills with track record of transforming data into actionable business insight.
- Expert in SQL and advanced Excel required, experience with Python or R nice to have.
- Experience working with Tableau and strong experience garnering insights from data that can drive actional business decisions.
- Experience correlating multiple data sets across different reporting assets
- Effective presentation and communication skills with the ability to summarize analytic findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Senior Leaders
- Business acumen in sales industry (understands business metrics and implications to drive results) - Telecommunications industry experience a plus
- Strong personal organizational and time management skills, ability to work under tight deadlines and ensure quality reporting
- Ability and experience with mapping software
- Experience working in groups and leading smaller intra-year projects.
- Experience collaboratively working with colleagues in other countries and time zones preferred.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $92,534.00 - $152,021.00 / year. The rate/Range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
