About Akkio

Akkio is the AI infrastructure that automates campaign workflows for the world's largest media agencies. Our platform runs on-premises within our partners' cloud environments, sits directly on top of their data, and enables teams to productionize agentic AI workflows at enterprise scale with full security and governance control.

Our approach already powers some of the biggest names in media. Havas is building agentic AI into Converged.AI, its global operating system, in partnership with Akkio. Horizon Media strengthened its blu. platform with Akkio. Mediaplus built Plus.AI, its global AI media planning system, on our infrastructure. LG Ad Solutions uses Akkio to unlock real-time intelligence from ACR data.

We're a small, fast-growing team, and every person here shapes what media's biggest players do next.

How we work

We build with AI the way we expect our partners to run on it: aggressively, thoughtfully, and in production. That applies to marketing as much as engineering. Our team uses AI every day to research accounts, sharpen messaging, build campaign assets, and turn an idea into a launched program in days, not quarters.

You'll be marketing agentic AI to the people deciding whether to run their business on it, and that story only lands if you live it yourself. If you've rebuilt how you work around AI tools, you'll feel at home. If you're still evaluating whether AI belongs in a marketer's daily work, this probably isn't the right role.

The opportunity

As Senior Marketing Manager at Akkio, you'll own the programs that put Akkio in front of the world's largest media agencies and other media ecosystem players: account-based marketing that opens doors at named holding companies and independents, and events that turn those doors into relationships.

Our market is unusually concentrated. We sell to a defined universe of enterprise agencies and media ecosystem players, each with complex buying committees and long-standing relationships, which makes marketing here a precision game — the right message, to the right people at the right accounts, at the right moment. One well-run executive dinner or one sharply targeted account program can move more pipeline than a quarter of broad-reach spend, and you'll be the person making those calls.

This role is built for owners. Marketing at a fast-moving AI startup is rarely fully defined and often shifts as we learn from partners. We're looking for someone who treats that as the fun part: someone who takes a loosely shaped goal, builds the program that achieves it, and runs it end-to-end without waiting for a playbook while creating a repeatable playbook.

What you'll do
  • Own account-based marketing end-to-end: define target account lists with sales, build account and buying-committee intelligence, and orchestrate multi-channel programs that create and accelerate pipeline at named agencies and holding companies

  • Own our events program end-to-end: industry conferences, executive dinners, intimate roundtables, and partner moments — from strategy, budget, and vendor management through flawless on-site execution and disciplined follow-up

  • Partner closely with sales and leadership to align marketing programs with account plans, arm the team with the right assets, and make sure every touch reflects how agencies actually buy

  • Build and run the operational backbone of our programs: campaign execution in our marketing automation stack, clean audience segmentation, and follow-up workflows that never drop a lead

  • Measure what matters: track program performance against pipeline and account-penetration goals, report clearly on what's working, and reallocate quickly when something isn't

  • Champion the Akkio brand in market, ensuring everything we ship — an invitation, a booth, a nurture email — is polished, on-voice, and worthy of the enterprise partners we serve

Who you are
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience with real depth in account-based marketing and events, ideally marketing to enterprise buyers with complex, multi-stakeholder deals

  • You know the agency and media ecosystem from the inside: how holding companies and independents are structured, who influences a platform decision, and where the industry actually gathers — you can speak the language of media on day one

  • You've integrated AI into your daily workflow — for research, drafting, analysis, and campaign building — and you can speak concretely about how it changed the way you work

  • Meticulous attention to detail: you sweat the seating chart, the segmentation logic, and the typo in the subject line, because at this level of partner, details are the brand

  • You thrive in a startup: you're energized by pace and ambiguity, comfortable being the whole marketing engine behind a program, and you fill gaps with judgment rather than waiting for direction

  • Based in New York City and energized by in-person work — our partners are here, our events are here, and this role is built around showing up

Bonus points
  • Experience marketing AdTech, MarTech, or AI products to agencies or media companies

  • You've built an executive dinner or roundtable series from scratch and can point to the pipeline it created

  • Hands-on experience with ABM and marketing automation tooling (we use HubSpot) and intent or account-intelligence platforms

  • A network across agency holding companies and independents

  • Previous early-stage startup experience

Why you'll love working here

Build at the frontier. You'll market agentic AI that's running in production at the world's biggest media agencies, not vaporware. You'll have the tools, budget, and encouragement to push what's possible, and you'll get better at this craft faster here than almost anywhere.

Ride real acceleration. Akkio is a well-funded startup in a rapidly accelerating phase with major enterprise partners in production, expanding global deployments, and a market that's moving toward us. Joining now means real ownership of outcomes and real upside: substantial equity, outsized scope, and a direct line from your work to company results.

Work with an exceptional team. Our team is small and accomplished, composed of people who've built and scaled products at top companies and chose to do the ambitious thing here. Our culture is built around shared wins: high trust, low ego, and the expectation that everyone operates like an owner.

Additional information
  • Location: New York City. The day-to-day is a remote position. Yet, there is an in-person component — our partners, events, and market presence are centered in NYC.

  • Compensation: Competitive salary depending on experience, plus substantial equity grants

  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plan; PTO

  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US
