Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native (iOS, Android)

Remote, Contract

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our engineering team and help build high-impact mobile experiences used daily by millions of users. You’ll play a key role in delivering scalable, reliable, and polished features across iOS and Android, partnering closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to continuously improve our large-scale consumer mobile platform.

Experience Level: Senior

• 4+ years of commercial experience with React Native (iOS, Android) and strong TypeScript/JavaScript expertise
• Deep understanding of the React Native ecosystem, including:
• Build processes
• Performance optimisation
• Monitoring & LiveOps
• Native module integration
  
• Strong grasp of React rendering behaviour and frontend best practices
• Experience with modern mobile tooling such as Expo, monorepos, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud and infrastructure environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services)
• Ability to translate Figma designs into high-quality, pixel-accurate implementations, including animations and microinteractions
• Solid understanding of how mobile apps interact with backend APIs and web technologies.

• Ownership of end-to-end mobile feature development across iOS and Android
• Experience contributing to large-scale, consumer-facing applications
• Strong focus on code quality, testing, maintainability, and release stability
• Experience improving development workflows, code standards, and CI/CD practices
• Ability to balance speed of delivery with performance, reliability, and long-term scalability
  

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers in a cross-functional environment
• Actively participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of mobile engineering standards and best practices
• Take initiative in identifying technical improvements and delivering meaningful product enhancements

• Strong ownership mentality and accountability for delivered work
• Passion for building delightful, user-centric mobile experiences
• Pragmatic problem solver who values clean, maintainable solutions
• Comfortable working in product-driven, fast-paced environments
• Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills

• Experience with LLM-assisted development workflows or modern AI-powered engineering tools
• Exposure to native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development
• Experience contributing to shared mobile architecture or platform foundations

• Overlap: Eastern Timezone (US)
• Close collaboration with engineers, product managers, and designers in a cross-functional setup
• Active participation in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions
• Comfortable working in a distributed team with regular communication and alignment
• Reliable high-speed internet and the ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment
