Position Overview:

As a Senior Mobile Engineer at Splash Sports, you will be a key technical contributor responsible for building and maintaining high-quality mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms. In addition to your hands-on development work, you'll serve as a technical leader and innovator, pioneering the integration of generative AI technologies into our mobile experiences and sharing your expertise with the broader engineering team. This role combines deep technical execution with thought leadership in emerging AI capabilities for mobile.

This a full-time, remote role for candidates located within the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and ship features for both iOS and Android applications, ensuring code quality and performance across platforms
• Collaborate with product management and design teams to architect new product features that align with user needs and business objectives
• Pioneer the exploration and integration of generative AI technologies into mobile experiences, identifying opportunities to enhance user engagement and app functionality
• Lead technical initiatives to progress the use of genAI to accelerate mobile app development, including evaluating models, tools, and implementation approaches.  This includes conducting research and proofs-of-concept with emerging generative AI technologies, assessing their viability for mobile development
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to mobile engineers, sharing knowledge about cross-platform development and AI innovations
• Drive technical excellence by establishing and promoting best practices for mobile development, code sharing, and AI integration
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and advocate for scalable, maintainable solutions
• Stay at the forefront of mobile development trends, proactively identifying opportunities and risks 
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous learning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of mobile development experience with strong proficiency in both iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) development
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality mobile applications to production
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, performance optimization, and platform-specific guidelines
• Experience leveraging AI capabilities to accelerate mobile development 
• Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Self-motivated and effective in a remote-first, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with generative AI technologies (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor, Google AI, or similar platforms)
• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks (Flutter, React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform)
• Familiarity with backend development, APIs, and cloud services
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
• Knowledge of application testing and app store deployment processes
• Passion for exploring emerging technologies and sharing knowledge with teams
