Hebbia is building our in-house creative studio, and we’re looking to hire a founding motion designer.
As Senior Motion Designer, you will own motion as a core part of our brand system and product storytelling. You will set a high bar for craft, help define how Hebbia looks and moves, and ship work that positions Hebbia as a premium AI product for finance. You’ll work closely with Arjun Mahesh, who leads design, and our founder George Sivulka.
What you’ll do- Own motion design end-to-end: concept, story, design, animation, delivery
- Create motion systems that extend our brand into product UI, marketing, and editorial content
- Design product marketing motion: launch videos, explainers, demos, social assets, and ads
- Partner with product design to bring interactions and prototypes to life (micro-interactions, transitions, feature walkthroughs)
- Collaborate closely with brand, product, marketing, and leadership to align on narrative and execution
- Establish processes and standards for motion (tooling, templates, libraries, specs) so the team can scale output without losing quality
- 5+ years of motion design experience (brand, product, or marketing), with senior-level ownership
- A portfolio showing strong storytelling, timing, typography, composition, and polish
- Fluency in the modern motion stack (e.g., After Effects, Premiere, Figma, Illustrator) and a thoughtful approach to handoff and delivery
- Strong taste for brand and visual design, not just animation
- Comfort working scrappy and moving quickly, while still protecting quality
- Ability to scope projects, run lightweight sprints, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners
- Excited about AI and motivated by building for high-stakes finance use cases
- 3D (Cinema 4D, Blender), Rive, Lottie, or real-time tooling
- Sound design and editorial instincts
- Experience translating a brand into product motion guidelines
