We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative, and proactive team members and are looking for a Senior Planning Manager focusing on our Wholesale business to come join our New York based headquarters. Our HQ Office is located in Lower Manhattan and the team is on-site 3 days per week.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Planning, the role will assist in the successful development, communication, and execution of sales and inventory strategies that support the financial plan. The role is also responsible for full pre-season financial planning, buy planning, in-season management, allocation. Working closely with production, merchandising, and finance, this individual will drive business results and evolve processes to achieve results in a growing business. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Run the seasonal hindsight process for the omni business, providing direction around key initiatives and delivering a framework from which the teams can effectively evaluate performance
  • Proactively recap and report on in-season financial management, including open to buy forecasting, pricing decisions, and demand driven buying decisions to deliver financial goals
  • Manage and conduct in-season re-forecast of category unit plans/dollar plans, focusing on future opportunities as well as minimizing sales/inventory risks. 
  • Present recommendations and other analysis to senior leadership and cross-functional lead partners related to driving short and long-term business goals including hind-sights, color/pattern selling, returns analysis, etc.
  • Partner with Planning and Finance team members on annual and quarterly budget processes
  • Collaborate with peers and share best-practices to ensure consistency in tools, reporting, and communications

Qualifications, Skills, & Experience

  • 7-10 years of Planning experience in wholesale at an Apparel and Retail company 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including v-lookups, pivot tables, and basic macros; Must be able to manipulate large quantities of data in Microsoft Excel to drive business decisions
  • Demonstrated alignment with TJ core values: Humble, Adaptable, Mindful GSD 2.0, & Curious
  • Previous experience with tools such as Toolio, 7th Online, Looker, etc. preferred 
  • Proven examples of “thinking outside the box” to improve processes
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to communicate through storytelling about the data
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
  • Ability to be on-site in our HQ Office in Lower Manhattan 3 days per week

Salary Range: $130,000 to $140,000 annually
