BAE Systems ECS business area is seeking a Senior Principal Program Quality Engineer in the Advanced Electronic Warfare Systems (AEWS) product line. This individual will lead a mix of development, production, and sustainment activities within the program portfolio. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring customer contract requirements are met, quality assurance, continuous process improvement, and lifecycle management. They will work closely with the Customer, Program Management offices & Supplier Quality Teams along with other critical functions to provide world class program execution. Additionally, support corrective actions using quality science tools via 8D methodology.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with travel to other locations as required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- A Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years work experience or 12+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain SAP / SAR clearance
- Self-starting problem solver with a fact-based focus on continuous improvement
- Strong and Demonstrated Communication Skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communicating within a group/team)
- Enjoys working with and coaching Quality professionals and other cross-functional team members to continuously improve execution success
- Understanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing) along with relevant industry standards
- Understanding of relevant industry standards (AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145)
- Experience with lifecycle management methodology in support of development and production programs
- Experience interfacing with customers
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- A Master's degree
- Leadership or management experience
- Quality management experience in a highly regulated industry (aerospace, medical)
- Understanding the process for Basis of Estimate (BOE) and proposals
- Six Sigma Green/Black belt certified
- Experience with lifecycle management methodology in support of sustainment programs
