Senior/Principal Software Engineer, Mainframe Software on z/VM

Broadcom Mainframe Software Division (MSD) is looking for an experienced and self-driven Software Engineer for the z/VM Management Products team. 

In this role, you will maintain and enhance Broadcom’s suite of z/VM products that manage security, report management, and system automation on z/VM, including VM:Secure, VM:Backup, and VM:Spool.  The position will involve a mix of development and technical support workloads.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree

• Prior experience as a developer on z/VM or z/OS; z/VM preferred

• Strong HLASM skills a must

• Proficiency in REXX

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US

Additional Skills

• C Programming skills

• Experience with systems programming

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $172,800 

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
