JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is seeking a Senior Producer, Social Media to be part of the FOX News Digital team! You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day coordination that keeps our content fast, accurate, and compelling. This role is built for a sharp editorial operator who will operate at the center of the news cycle, translating top stories into fast, authoritative, and compelling social content while leading creators, shaping workflows  and can  make confident calls under pressure, while maintaining the highest journalistic standards.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a key leader for day-to-day social programming and platform strategy for breaking news, tentpole moments, and live coverage, applying best practices while adapting to emerging trends.

  • Maintain a constant pulse on emerging news and cultural moments on social to identify opportunities early, and position FOX News content for maximum impact across social channels.

  • Partner closely with creators to elevate storytelling and packaging across platforms, including headlines, captions, thumbnails, hooks, pacing, and tone. 

  • Analyze performance data and platform insights to inform editorial decisions, optimize content, and refine strategy in real time. 

  • Build and maintain repeatable workflows that support speed, quality, and consistency, leveraging AI tools to enhance ideation and efficiency without compromising editorial standards. 

  • Coach, train, and develop social creators through structured feedback, training sessions, and ongoing mentorship. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience producing content in a fast-paced news environment. 

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional stakeholders (shows, editorial, talent teams, standards/legal as needed) and keep workflows moving without friction. 

  • Exceptional editorial judgment and a strong track record of accuracy-first publishing under deadline pressure. 

  • High-level writing and editing skills 

  • Platform fluency including what drives reach, retention, and engagement, and what creates risk. 

  • Strong working knowledge of video and graphics workflows, including tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Canva (or equivalent). 

  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency without compromising editorial integrity.

  • Ability to operate as steady leader during breaking news: decisive, organized, and solutions-first. 

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as news coverage demands. 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 

  • Experience managing or mentoring content creators and/or producers. 

  • Familiarity with newsroom systems and editorial processes.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $114,000.00-140,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
