Role OverviewWe're looking for a Senior Product Engineer who is a builder and an operator, someone who takes a problem from an ops thread or a customer complaint all the way to production, using AI agents as a core part of how they work rather than an occasional assist. This isn't a siloed frontend or backend role: you'll work across our backend services, frontend, and infrastructure, with strong technical fundamentals across modern backend and frontend systems. You don't need prior experience with any of it — we care that you get productive in an unfamiliar codebase fast, and that you know when to trust what an agent hands you and when to dig in yourself.
What you’ll doOwn features end to end, from architecture decisions all the way to rollout.
Work across frontend, backend services, and infra. We don’t have a backend team and frontend team; instead we have engineers who ship.
Talk directly to users and internal teams to find the real problem before you scope the fix Sit in the alert channels, understanding the problems that arise and fixing them.
Push for engineering excellence through performance tuning, best practices, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate extensively with design to bring features to life.
Define what success looks like for what you ship, and use post-launch data to decide what to do next.
Use Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools as a daily driver, with a focus on harness engineering to drive team-wide improvements..
Spot high-impact opportunities where AI can improve internal workflows and drive it from a rough prototype to something real users depend on.
4+ years of professional software development. We weigh what you've shipped and operated over years or titles.
Strong product instincts: you think holistically about UX, API design, and system correctness, and you shape what gets built rather than just executing a spec handed to you.
Systems thinking across REST APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and databases (SQL/NoSQL), with patterns for scaling backend systems.
An intuition for financial systems, or a strong desire to build one.
Fluency with AI coding tools in real production work. You use them to move faster while still holding the line on correctness, reliability, and maintainability, and you have an opinion about where they help, where they mislead, and how to keep them honest.
A strong sense of ownership and comfort with ambiguity. You lead complex projects end-to-end, thrive working independently in a fast-paced environment, and see things through from idea to launch.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You work well with cross-functional partners and in a workflow of pull requests, design discussions, and code reviews.
Care about craft and deep technical knowledge, with a track record of shipping high-quality software. You love solving real-world problems over polishing for perfection.
You are product driven. You care about the user experience.
You have an operator instinct. You read the channels and understand the issue before a well groomed ticket comes across.
You have a strong bias to action. You want to ship features quickly.
