About Quora:

Quora’s mission is to grow the world's collective intelligence. To do so, we have two platforms:

  • Quora: a global knowledge sharing platform with over 300M monthly unique visitors, bringing people together to share insights on various topics and providing a unique platform to learn and connect with others.

  • Poe: a platform providing millions of global users with one place to chat, explore and build with a wide variety of AI language models (bots), including GPT-5.4, Claude-Opus-4.6, Gemini-3.1-Pro, Nano-Banana-Pro, Veo-3.1, and more. As AI capabilities rapidly advance, Poe provides a single platform to instantly integrate and utilize these new models.

Behind these products are passionate, collaborative, and high-performing global teams. We have a culture rooted in transparency, idea-sharing, and experimentation that allows us to celebrate success and grow together through meaningful work. Join us on this journey to create a positive impact and make a significant change in the world.

This role will be working on our Quora product.

About the Team and Role:

Our product managers excel at and are responsible for guiding, enabling, and accelerating the efforts of our designers, engineers, and data scientists to build and ship successful products. Even though we've experienced significant growth, we're still a small team where each PM needs to own a significant portion of the product experience, so in this role, you'll have the opportunity to drive company-level impact, influence overall company strategy, and interface regularly with product leadership and the executive team.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead consumer-facing AI initiatives within Quora’s core product experience, focused on creating and scaling high-quality AI-powered content experiences and driving meaningful engagement. This includes defining strategic direction, aligning cross-functional teams, executing quickly through experimentation, and generating insights that inform future AI investments and long-term platform strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end strategy for consumer-facing AI initiatives, including defining content quality standards, establishing evaluation frameworks, and driving responsible rollout and scale

  • Manage ambiguity, complexity, and cross-functional interdependencies in a fast-paced environment, doing what it takes to make the product successful

  • Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and product operations to define, build, iterate, and scale AI-powered experiences

  • Define objectives, metrics, and guardrails (engagement, quality, trust) to guide prioritization and measure success

  • Run structured experimentation to optimize feed allocation and performance, using quantitative and qualitative insights to inform product strategy

  • Stay current with advances in Generative AI to continuously improve product capabilities and long-term roadmap direction

Minimum Requirements:
  • Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's “coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)

  • 6+ years combined experience in Product Management

  • Excellent communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, to press, and other audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions and scale products through experimentation

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience working on user-generated content (UGC) platforms, marketplaces, aggregators, or content-driven consumer products

  • Experience with AI-powered content creation or AI-driven content experiences.

  • A passion for AI and emerging technologies

  • BA/BS degree in Statistics or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience ideal

  • 2+ years of Data Science or Data Analytics experience before Product Management experience

At Quora, we value diversity and inclusivity and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including marginalized or underrepresented groups in tech, to apply for our job openings. We encourage all candidates who share a passion for growing the world’s knowledge, even those who may not strictly meet all the preferred requirements, to apply, as we know that a diverse range of perspectives can have a significant impact on our products and our culture.

Additional Information:

We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis. This role is a backfill for an existing vacancy.

Quora offers a wide range of benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, equity refreshers, remote work reimbursement, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and more. Benefits are country-specific and may vary.

There are many factors that will determine the starting pay, including but not limited to experience, location, education, and business needs.

  • US candidates only: For US based applicants, the salary range is $166,328 - $256,660 USD + equity + benefits.

  • Canada candidates only: For Toronto and Vancouver based applicants, the salary range is $212,663 - $262,528 CAD + equity + benefits. For all other locations in Canada, the salary range is $198,485 - $245,026 CAD + equity + benefits.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

AI technology may assist in sorting applications and recording interview notes, but all decisions are made by a member of our team.

To ensure a secure hiring process, all final candidates will undergo identity verification and a comprehensive background check prior to onboarding.
