Lead discovery and growth by finding unmet customer needs in debt and consumer finance, testing hypotheses with lean experiments, and taking validated opportunities 0-to-1. Collaborate with customers, sales, and engineering, instrument launches, track revenue outcomes, and maintain a visible pipeline of opportunity hypotheses.
Find the right problem. Test the right theory. Build the right thing.
Spinwheel is on a mission to reinvent how consumers manage debt, make lending work for them, and move faster than anyone thinks possible. Our platform helps people save time, money, and stress by delivering the tools and intelligence needed to improve financial outcomes.
We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager, Discovery & Growth, to own finding, validating, and proving out net-new product and revenue opportunities before they compete for core roadmap investment. This isn't a role for someone who executes on a pre-written roadmap, and it isn't a role that quietly explores forever with no finish line. This role has a defined mandate, a defined exit gate, and capacity to do the work. It exists specifically so that new bets get tested rigorously without derailing the core product organization, and so that nothing moves to full build without a proven connection to revenue.
What You'll Do
Competitive compensation and early-stage equity, so you have real upside as we grow. Comprehensive health benefits. A fully remote team, with the whole company coming together in person twice a year. We've hosted in places like Costa Rica, Chicago, San Diego, Mexico City, and Banff, real time together, not just another Zoom call.
We're early stage, so our benefits are still evolving. What we can offer today is a genuine stake in what we're building, a team that invests in being together in person, and the trust to do your best work from wherever you are.

It exists specifically so that new bets get tested rigorously without derailing the core product organization, and so that nothing moves to full build without a proven connection to revenue.
What You'll Do
- Spend real time with customers, prospects, internal teams, and market data to find unmet needs and whitespace, especially in debt, lending, and consumer finance
- Turn raw opportunities into testable hypotheses, and design lean experiments (prototypes, concierge MVPs, pilots) to validate or kill them fast
- Present validated opportunities with a revenue hypothesis and evidence, for joint go/no-go sign-off with Product and Sales leadership
- Own full 0-to-1 execution for anything that clears the gate, launch through growth
- Instrument products from day one so you know immediately what's working and what isn't
- Track post-launch performance against your original revenue hypothesis, so we learn from every bet, proven or not
- Maintain a standing log of active opportunity hypotheses and their current stage, visible to Product and Revenue leadership
- Stay close to industry trends, regulatory shifts, and adjacent market dynamics that could open new doors
- You surface 2–3 high-conviction opportunities per quarter that the team didn’t have on their radar
- You kill bad ideas fast, reducing time and money wasted on things that won’t work
- You launch multiple net-new revenue-driving products or capabilities from 0-to-1 in your first year
- You become the team’s connective tissue between customer reality and product strategy
- Revenue and retention metrics improve because the problems you chose to solve mattered
- Have 5+ years in product management with real ownership of outcomes, not just outputs, including at least 2 years in product management in fintech (debt, payments, credit, or lending a strong plus)
- 0-to-1 build experience, ideally you’ve done it more than once
- Have a track record of testing unproven ideas with rigor, and know when to kill an idea as confidently as when to back one
- Are as comfortable in front of customers as you are defending a recommendation with data or working directly with engineers
- Enjoy working in, and have experience at a small, fast-growing company
- Familiarity with regulated financial environments (FCRA, UDAAP, TILA)
- Comfort with SQL and experiment design (A/B tests, cohort analysis)
- Reports to: Head of Product
- Location: Fully remote US or Canada
