Job Description

As Senior Product Manager, Financial Infrastructure (Cards), you'll own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the platforms that power settlement, reconciliation, financial controls, and money movement across Wise's global card programme.

You'll work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to ensure billions of pounds move accurately, efficiently, and reliably through our systems.

In this role, you'll:

  • Define the long-term strategy for the financial infrastructure supporting Wise Cards.

  • Build scalable settlement and reconciliation capabilities across Visa, Mastercard, and future payment networks.

  • Improve financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and transparency across card processing flows.

  • Design systems that help Finance teams close faster, investigate issues more efficiently, and trust the underlying data.

  • Reduce operational complexity through automation and stronger financial controls.

  • Develop capabilities that support increasing transaction volumes, new markets, and new payment products.

  • Partner with teams launching new Spend products to design the financial architecture required to support them.

  • Define settlement models, reconciliation processes, revenue flows, accounting requirements, and operational controls for new products.

  • Help bring products such as credit cards, travel benefits, insurance, eSIMs, and future card-adjacent services to market.

  • Work closely with engineers to build scalable, resilient, and auditable systems.

  • Use data to identify operational risks, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities.

  • Align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Compliance to deliver meaningful outcomes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence both the operational foundations of Wise Cards and the financial architecture behind future Spend products.

Qualifications

We're looking for a product leader who enjoys solving complex platform and financial infrastructure problems.

You may be a great fit if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Financial platforms and infrastructure.

  • Payments, cards, acquiring, or issuing.

  • Settlement and reconciliation systems.

  • Ledger or accounting platforms.

  • Treasury, money movement, or financial operations products.

  • Internal tools used by Finance, Accounting, or Operations teams.

We're particularly interested in candidates who:

  • Have experience building products where financial correctness and operational reliability are critical.

  • Can navigate complex financial and operational workflows.

  • Have strong systems-thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Are comfortable working with ambiguity and large-scale platforms.

  • Can influence stakeholders across multiple disciplines and levels of seniority.

  • Balance customer impact, operational excellence, and business outcomes.

  • Have experience working in regulated environments.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with card issuing or payment networks.

  • Understanding of settlement, clearing, and reconciliation processes.

  • Experience partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, or Risk teams.

  • Familiarity with financial controls, audit requirements, and regulatory reporting.

  • Experience launching new financial products or revenue-generating features.

  • Experience building platform or infrastructure products at scale.
