The Senior Product Manager will lead the Omnichannel Catalog squad, driving strategy and roadmap for catalog experience across sales channels. Responsibilities include removing friction in catalog management, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and enhancing seller operations.
The summary above was generated by AI
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions - to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes - large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.
The Role
We're looking for a sharp, strategic Product Manager to lead the Omnichannel Catalog squad and drive seamless catalog setup and management to scale across channels and support efficient operations in-store and online.
You'll own the strategy and roadmap for Square's omnichannel catalog experience as the foundation that enables sellers to seamlessly set up, manage, and optimize their catalogs across in-store and online channels - driving consistent, efficient operations wherever they sell. Your mission is to deliver a catalog experience that adapts to how sellers operate across every channel, removing the friction that forces sellers to duplicate or manually reconfigure items when expanding online.
In this role, you'll lead a cross-functional team focused on three key transformations: removing omnichannel setup friction, enabling safe and intelligent catalog change management, and building AI-ready catalog infrastructure.
You Will
  • Product Strategy and Vision
      • Define and execute the product strategy for intelligent, channel-aware catalog experiences that enable seamless omnichannel operations without disrupting existing seller workflows.
      • Drive the multi-year vision for catalog as the foundation that adapts to how sellers operate across every channel, ensuring sellers can efficiently set up and optimize catalogs for in-store and online selling.
  • Product Development
      • Build products that allow sellers to have full visibility and control over how and where their items are sold.
      • Remove omnichannel setup friction by enabling sellers to configure catalogs once and extend them to new channels seamlessly.
      • Drive measurable outcomes including increased omnichannel adoption and enhanced catalog data quality.
  • Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
      • Inspire and lead a high-performing cross-functional team, fostering an environment of creativity, efficiency, and customer obsession.
      • Influence stakeholders across Square to prioritize catalog investments that enable scalable, efficient operations for sellers, anywhere they want to sell.

You Have
  • 8+ years of product management experience.
  • A collaborative approach: You have a track record of driving alignment and delivering results with cross-functional partners.
  • Vision: You've formed, gained buy-in, and driven key strategies shaping the multi-year direction of your team.
  • Results: You have a proven track record of shipping simple, elegant products at scale.
  • Efficiency: You have excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical skills: You have a great ability to absorb and apply data to your decision making.
  • Execution: You're scrappy, solution-oriented, and able to help the team push through obstacles and blockers to deliver value for our customers. Able to push through obstacles, and ready to roll up your sleeves wherever needed.
  • Communication: You're regarded as an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Customer empathy: You have experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs.
  • You have experience working through problems with high ambiguity and without a definitive answer.
  • You've developed industry-leading products that have gained a strong followership and product loyalty.
