Senior Product Manager, Wallets

Since 2014, the mission-driven team at the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) has helped fuel the tremendous growth of the Stellar blockchain network, an open-source platform that operates at high-scale today. Developers and companies around the world build on it, and the SDF team is expanding to support the rapidly growing and changing Stellar ecosystem.

We are looking to hire a PM to own the freighter browser plugin wallet which is the default interface for power users of the Stellar network and its smart contract platform Soroban. This PM will be responsible for shepherding the growth and development of one of the most commonly used tools for developers and users in our ecosystem.
We are looking for a leader for this product who will guide freighter beyond its roots as a browser based utility wallet into the flagship crypto native wallet for Stellar. Your goal is to set a new standard for what these types of wallets can be. You will leverage our growing ecosystem of smart contract protocols and cutting edge technologies like passkeys, smart wallets, transaction sponsorship, social recovery and account abstraction and automation to reimagine what a full featured, secure crypto native wallet can be.

In this role, you will:

• Set a compelling vision for what Freighter can be and evangelize it internally and externally
• Create and own the product strategy for Freighter, that brings that vision to life
• Work with our broader ecosystem to design, advocate  and implement standards for wallet and protocol interoperability
• Design and implement new experiences across web and mobile to both grow and delight its userbase
• Own the prioritization and roadmap for the product as you work with the rest of the org to achieve our strategic objectives

You have:

• 2+ years of PM experience
• Worked on or with blockchain in a previous role.
• Experience with end user facing blockchain products
• Familiar with wallets and wallet interfaces both good and bad in other ecosystems

Bonus points if (optional):

• Worked on a browser based crypto native wallet in the past
• Worked at another L1 blockchain
• Consumer fintech experience
• Owned user on-boarding for a consumer or pro-sumer product

We offer competitive pay with a base salary range for this position of $155,000- $215,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, we offer lumen-denominated grants along with the following perks and benefits:
