Lead strategy and adoption for InvestCloud's Private Markets Network by engaging wealth managers and asset managers, translating market constraints into product and operating-model decisions, shaping onboarding and go-to-market playbooks, and driving cross-functional execution to scale private markets in managed accounts.
The summary above was generated by AI

Private markets are rapidly becoming a core part of wealth portfolios, but most wealth managers still rely on manual processes, fragmented data, bespoke integrations, and operational workarounds to deliver private market exposure. This limits scale, degrades client experience, and slows advisor adoption.

InvestCloud’s Private Markets Network (PMN) is a network-level execution and processing platform that enables private market investments to be delivered at managed-account scale, with the same operational discipline, control framework, and integration model wealth managers expect in public markets. PMN underpins the Private Markets Account (PMA) and sits at the intersection of:

  •  Wealth managers
  •  Private market asset managers
  •  Custodians and fund administrators
  •  Platform and market infrastructure

The Product Manager – Private Markets Network (Wealth Strategy & Adoption) will play a critical role in shaping how PMN is built, positioned, and adopted by the wealth management market. This role sits at the centre of that transformation, with direct exposure to both the buy-side and sell-side of the private markets ecosystem, and the opportunity to influence how private markets scale across some of the largest platforms in the industry.

This is not a passive enablement role. You will:

  •  Help shape PMN’s product and network strategy.
  •  Define what “good” looks like for wealth manager adoption.
  •  Work directly with the market to unlock private markets at scale.
  •  Translate real-world adoption constraints into product, rule, and operating model decisions.

You will operate as a close right hand to PMN leadership, working at the intersection of product strategy, market engagement, and execution.

What Does a Great Product Manager--Wealth Strategy & Adoption Do?

  •  Understands both wealth manager and asset manager perspectives on private markets.
  •  Can structure ambiguous, cross-functional problems and turn them into clear recommendations and actions.
  •  Moves fluently between strategy and execution—from board-level framing to detailed onboarding assumptions.
  •  Acts as a bridge between market, product, and delivery teams, ensuring PMN reflects how the market actually operates.
  •  Is energized by building and scaling new platforms, not just optimizing mature ones.

How You Will Provide Meaningful Contributions

Wealth Strategy & Market Unlock

  •  Work directly with PMN leadership to shape PMN’s wealth strategy and adoption approach.
  •  Engage with wealth managers to understand adoption constraints across operating model, governance, data, technology, and servicing.
  •  Help define what it means for a wealth manager to be “PMN-ready”—and the practical steps required to get them there.
  •  Translate market reality into clear strategic, product, and operating-model implications.

Product Strategy & Market Translation

  •  Act as a bridge between the wealth market and PMN product teams.
  •  Influence PMN product direction by grounding decisions in real-world adoption challenges.
  •  Help shape PMN rules, workflows, and operating model assumptions.
  •  Ensure the product roadmap focuses on what will actually unlock scale in wealth.

Go-To-Market Strategy & Execution Support

  •  Support PMN go-to-market positioning and narratives with real market insight.
  •  Help align PMN and APL sales motions to reduce friction and misalignment.
  •  Prepare materials and analysis for senior internal and external stakeholders.
  •  Take ownership of defined PMN initiatives end-to-end, from framing through execution.

Adoption, Onboarding & Enablement

  •  Support the creation of wealth manager readiness frameworks, onboarding playbooks, and adoption guides.
  •  Work closely with the APL / PMA team to align PMN and PMA onboarding expectations.
  •  Identify and resolve adoption risks early, before they become delivery issues.

Product & Implementation Support

  •  Help create user guides, implementation guides, and onboarding materials that make PMN usable and understandable for wealth managers.
  •  Ensure documentation reflects how wealth managers actually operate, not just how the product works in theory.
  •  Iterate materials based on live feedback from wealth managers and private market asset managers.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

In a typical week, you might be:

  •  Working with a major wealth manager to understand what really blocks them from scaling private markets in managed accounts.
  •  Engaging with private market asset managers to understand product, operational, and distribution constraints.
  •  Helping define how PMN’s rules, workflows, or data models need to evolve to remove those blockers.
  •  Stress-testing PMN and PMA onboarding assumptions before they become delivery problems.
  •  Shaping adoption playbooks that determine how the market experiences PMN.
  •  Turning messy client conversations into clear product and network strategy input.
  •  Helping PMN leadership decide what matters next — and what doesn’t.

Key Stakeholders

  •  PMN Leadership
  •  InvestCloud Leadership
  •  APL / PMA Product & Delivery Teams
  •  PMN Product & Engineering
  •  Wealth manager investment, platform, operations, and program teams
  •  Private market asset managers
  •  Private market service providers (e.g., administrators, custodians, infrastructure partners)

Essential Skills & Experience

  •  2–6 years’ experience in:
  •  Management consulting, internal strategy, or change roles, or
  •  Product- and market-facing roles within wealth management, asset management, fintech, or financial market infrastructure.
  •  Demonstrated ability to structure complex, ambiguous problems and turn them into clear insights, recommendations, and actions.
  •  Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to move between big-picture framing and detailed execution.
  •  Comfortable operating in fast-moving, uncertain environments with limited precedent or playbooks.
  •  Ability to engage credibly and confidently with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, high-quality materials for senior audiences.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  •  Exposure to private markets, alternatives, or complex investment products (e.g., private equity, private credit, real assets, semi-liquid funds).
  •  Experience working on or alongside investment platforms, managed accounts, or market infrastructure.
  •  Prior experience acting as a bridge between product, technology, and business teams.
  •  Familiarity with operating model design, onboarding, or adoption frameworks in financial services.
  •  Understanding of the wealth management distribution model and the practical constraints faced by advisors and operations teams.

Personal Attributes

  •  Curious, commercially minded, and outcome-driven.
  •  Low ego, high ownership; comfortable taking responsibility in ambiguous situations.
  •  Enjoys being close to decision-making and market reality.

Why This Role Is Different

This role offers:

  •  A front-row seat in reshaping how private markets scale into wealth.
  •  The opportunity to influence product and network strategy through real market engagement.
  •  Access to leading private market asset managers and wealth firms.
  •  Direct exposure to a private-equity backed platform business operating at institutional scale.

You won’t be handed a playbook — you’ll help define the category.
