JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE

FOX News Media is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the digital product experience for our highest-stakes, highest-traffic moments and to govern the growing ecosystem of editorially-generated and AI-assisted content experiences that surround them.

This role is for a product manager with strong technical instincts who thrives at the intersection of editorial creativity and engineering reality. Your job is twofold: deliver exceptional digital experiences for FNM's tentpole moments like elections, major cultural moments, breaking news, and branded campaigns as well as build the process infrastructure that governs how concepts get evaluated, formalized, and shipped as repeatable product builds.

Your role is to be the product authority who evaluates what's worth formalizing, defines the standards that govern how those experiences get built, and ensures that what ships is maintainable, scalable, and aligned with FNM's platform standards. You don't just ship for events. You build the system that makes every event better than the last.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for tentpole event experiences across all FNM brands and properties
  • Build and maintain a forward-looking tentpole calendar spanning elections and political coverage, major national moments, cultural and lifestyle events, breaking news, weather events, and FNM brand-specific franchises
  • Define what a differentiated FNM digital experience looks like for each tentpole category and build a roadmap to get there
  • Identify and build reusable, scalable event product infrastructure that reduces build time and improves quality across the tentpole portfolio
  • Sequence tentpole investments against the broader C&E roadmap, coordinating dependencies with adjacent teams

Live Event Execution & Readiness

  • Lead product readiness planning for every tentpole event, defining feature requirements, go/no-go criteria, runbooks, and rollback plans well in advance of air
  • Partner with editorial to understand coverage priorities and translate them into product decisions under real-time constraints
  • Drive pre-event testing, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional readiness reviews to ensure the product team is prepared for peak traffic and editorial demand
  • Own post-event retrospectives, documenting what worked, what didn't, and what gets carried forward into the next event cycle

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Serve as the primary product point of contact for editorial, engineering, design, and operations teams on all tentpole workstreams
  • Write clear, detailed PRDs and user stories that give engineering teams what they need to build confidently under compressed timelines
  • Own sprint ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews, driving prioritization and keeping delivery on track without dedicated delivery support
  • Coordinate with adjacent teams where tentpole events create dependencies

Data & Measurement

  • Define success metrics for tentpole events, including traffic handling, engagement depth, feature adoption, and audience retention during live coverage windows
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to build event-specific dashboards and ensure real-time visibility during live events
  • Use post-event data to identify the highest-leverage improvements for future tentpole cycles

AI-Powered Ways of Working

  • Actively uses AI agents as a core part of daily product workflows - not as an occasional tool but as a practiced, default approach to getting work done
  • Applies AI to research, synthesis, and analysis, including competitive research, user behavior pattern recognition, and data summarization
  • Leverages AI for PRD drafting, user story creation, and sprint preparation

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Required

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning high-stakes, time-bound product experiences
  • Experience delivering live event, tentpole, or moment-driven digital products in any vertical (news, sports, entertainment, streaming, or similar)
  • Demonstrated technical credibility: you can evaluate the feasibility of a concept, engage meaningfully with a technical spec, and work directly with engineers to make build vs. defer decisions without requiring mediation
  • Strong operational instinct: you know how to build readiness plans, anticipate failure modes, and keep cross-functional teams aligned under deadline pressure
  • Comfort translating fast-moving editorial or business priorities into clear product requirements with minimal lead time
  • Experience building scalable event product infrastructure, not just one-off builds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: you can write a tight PRD, present to leadership, and maintain stakeholder alignment across engineering and editorial teams with different cadences and priorities
  • Ability to operate independently on a lean team, managing multiple workstreams and event cycles simultaneously
  • Active, practiced use of AI to optimize your daily product workflows, including research, synthesis, PRD drafting, stakeholder communication, and sprint preparation, with a habit of building and iterating on agent-assisted workflows rather than defaulting to manual processes.
  • Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience at a digital media, news, streaming, or live entertainment company
  • Track record delivering election or political event digital experiences
  • Familiarity with live blog, real-time content, or results display product formats
  • Experience managing product delivery under hard, immovable deadlines tied to real-world events
