Maintain operational health and performance of trading and investment applications by providing Level 1/2 support, resolving incidents, participating in releases and change management, improving monitoring and runbooks, driving support standardization, delivering automation, mentoring teammates, and participating in on-call rotations while collaborating with development, infrastructure, network, and security teams.
The Senior Production Support role is integral to maintaining the stability and performance of our applications during critical business periods. You will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support, investigating and resolving issues, and participating in production releases and change management. Your expertise will strengthen our monitoring capabilities and drive standardization of support processes. Additionally, you will identify automation opportunities and participate in an on-call rotation, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own the operational health of assigned applications, ensuring stability and performance.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 production support, investigating and resolving application issues and user-impacting incidents.
- Participate in production releases, deployment validation, and change management processes.
- Strengthen monitoring and alerting systems, maintain runbooks, and identify recurring issues for permanent resolution.
- Drive standardization of support metrics, incident/change management, and escalation procedures.
- Identify and deliver automation opportunities using scripting and modern tooling.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and mentor other support resources.
- Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Network Engineering, and Information Security teams.
- Support applications within the Cantor Asset Management environment, including Order Management Systems, Portfolio Management platforms, and Investment/Trading applications.
- 8+ years of production support experience in Asset Management, Investment Management, or Capital Markets.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across applications, databases, operating systems, and middleware.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and Python scripting for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent SQL skills for data querying and validation.
- Experience with FIX Protocol and ITSM/ticketing platforms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and application integrations.
- Familiarity with web and desktop application support.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana) is advantageous.
- Understanding of job scheduling/workload automation and middleware/messaging technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $160,000-$180,000 Total Comp
