Looking for a new and exciting opportunity to impact the future of Spine Surgery? Join Medtronic Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) as a Senior Program Manager with the AiBLE Upstream Marketing team.  This Senior Program Manager will be responsible for leading the thoracolumbar posterior and cervical AiBLE Marketing initiatives, as well as various operating mechanisms within the spine procedural solution space.  In this pivotal role, you’ll drive innovation at the intersection of spinal hardware, platforms and technology, and data solutions—impacting AiBLE procedural roadmaps and driving CST growth strategies.  Primary responsibilities will include collaborating and advising the Spine Marketing Team, gathering AiBLE requirements for spine programs, and launching software to support the integration of spine procedures, implants and instruments. Collaboration and support activities will include identifying customer needs, supporting customer engagements, collaborating on the ideation, scoping, execution and launch of spine AiBLE procedures and products. This individual will also have additional responsibilities related to creating cohesive operating mechanisms across the spine AiBLE procedural solutions team.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the evolution of the Spine thoracolumbar posterior and cervical AiBLE portfolio. This will also include procedural collaboration for TLIF and PLIF procedures and Cervical anterior and posterior procedures.

  • Strategic Program & Product Development: Lead global programs from business case development through feasibility assessment and commercialization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including R&D, marketing, and insights—to define clinical needs, identify unmet market demands, and plan product lifecycle evolution.

  • Market & Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth procedural market assessments and determine the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements

  • Customer & Clinical Engagement: Partner with surgeons to support product development and collect clinical data, while gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Business (VOB) insights. Leverage trade shows and customer programs to validate market trends and inform strategic decisions.

  • Team Leadership: This individual must have a player-mentorship mentality and will have both project and strategic responsibilities.  They will lead cross functional initiatives that support the strategy and execution of AiBLE procedural solutions operating mechanisms.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including core product marketing, R&D, sales, medical education, and product management to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies that align with organizational goals.

  • Travel - 30%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in consumer marketing, product management or similar relevant experience with 5+ years of people or program managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of people or program managerial experience.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Orthopedics and/or Spine

  • Experience in digital health platforms (Navigation, Robotics, Data/AI)

  • Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong collaboration skills working with various stakeholders across multiple organizations

  • Experience learning technical products quickly 

  • Experience working with a broad sales force and interacting with hospital clinicians

  • Ability to influence cross functional team members without direct reporting

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$153,600.00 - $230,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
