The Opportunity
This Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget. This role serves as a key point of contact for clients during implementation projects, which may involve software, hardware, and services. The Project Manager manages interactions between internal teams, clients, and vendors to meet contractual obligations and drive customer satisfaction. This position also contributes to process improvement and supports team development.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Ability to influence and gain cooperation from cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with leadership, providing recommendations and practical solutions.
- Initiate, plan, execute, and close projects in alignment with organizational goals.
- Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to maintain alignment with project objectives.
Risk & Change Management
- Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget effectively.
Stakeholder Communication
- Build strong relationships to foster collaboration and secure commitment to project objectives.
- Demonstrate persuasive communication skills to achieve results in complex environments.
- Conduct status meetings, presentations, and prepare reports; provide regular updates on progress.
Team Support
- Assist with onboarding and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
- Support escalations and consult on medium to large projects as needed.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend practical solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions between product and operations teams.
Financial & Reporting
- Prepare project status reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist with forecasting and tracking project financials.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and communicate expectations clearly.
Requirements
- Education: B.A. or B.S. Degree;
- PMP certification required
- Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, including managing medium to large projects.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, SCRUM).
- Ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct authority.
- Proficiency in project management tools for scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
