The Sr. Regional Account Manager is responsible for developing and guiding regional accounts in the Convenience & Grocery Channels. The Sr. Regional Account Manager will achieve account profitability and sales targets, serving as the liaison between The Vita Coco Company, our distributor partners, and our Retail Accounts in the assigned Business Unit. This individual will also be responsible for spearheading Joint Business Plan collaboration with our distributor partners on distribution opportunities, new product launches, and the promotional planning and activation of Vita Coco brand items for permanent planogram space and promotional displays.

We are hiring a Sr. Regional Account Manager to support the Convenience & Grocery Channels which will be geographically located and responsible for the North: MetroNY/Northeast/Midwest portion of the U.S. The Sr. Regional Account Manager will report to the Vice President, North. 

This is a remote position working from any of the following states: ME, VT, NH, RI, MA, CT, NY, NJ, PA, WV, OH, MI, IN, IL, WI 

Main Responsibilities:

· Develop extensive relationships with the distributor Directors and Regional Account Managers/Executives to have our brands included in all selling initiatives with all Regional Accounts.

· Develop and execute account specific strategies to grow at both the account and product category levels.

· Develop account goals and business plan with retailers aligning with DSD regional account executives.

· Manage and cultivate programs to achieve case volume and dollar volume budgets.

· Develop and execute strategies with retailers to grow business opportunities, i.e. new products, promotional planning, and merchandising

· Provide tools and resources for regular reviews of business performance, promotion strategies, and planogram efficiencies to DSD partners

· Recommend product program development and/or enhancements because of customer/consumer feedback.

· Forecast, budget & track account revenues and cost

· Participate in the development and implementation of account's financial support program, business building, and electronic/digital integration

· Call on Regional/Market buyers at specific Nation Account chains to plus up local opportunities

· Support Trade Shows

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree is preferred

· 5-7 years of professional sales experience working with DSD companies

· Willingness to travel up to 50%

· Demonstrated skills in achieving sales, profitability, and budget goals

· Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customers

· Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies

· Ability to effectively monitor category performance versus plan and communicate accordingly

· Ability to understand trade spending effectiveness (efficiency of promotional activity is preferred)

· Candidate should possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills

· Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to interface and demonstrate leadership both internally and externally (with DSD partners)

· People management skills/leadership

· High-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player

· Strong organization and planning skills

· Proven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and the customer

· Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customers

· Business familiarity with North: MetroNY/Northeast/Midwest regional accounts

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
