Location: Boston, MA or New York, NY

Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year

With Intelligence, now part of S&P Global, is seeking a talented journalist to help spearhead the expansion of our market-leading asset management coverage into infrastructure.

The role will involve covering some of the biggest public markets asset managers at a hugely exciting time for the sector, with public policies across multiple regions driving growth and innovation and higher interest rates impacting demand and performance across a range of infra strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Uncover exclusive intelligence on new fund launches, innovations, and growth strategies across asset management companies
  • Monitor market dynamics, including which firms are attracting assets, and identify those that are underperforming, exiting, or shifting strategies
  • Track fund performance trends and analyse how managers are evolving fund structures and terms to attract a broader investor base
  • Deliver high-value, actionable insights to investor relations teams to support market understanding, benchmarking, and growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to support ongoing news gathering
  • Produce a consistent pipeline of exclusive news stories as part of a fast-paced global public markets news desk
  • Attend and cover industry events and conferences, including international travel, to develop sources and deepen sector knowledge

Requirements
  • A successful track record of reporting exclusive stories, preferably with at least two years experience in financial journalism
  • Must be willing to work out of our New York or Boston office under a hybrid arrangement
  • Journalism degree training preferable
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • An interest in, and some knowledge of, asset management is preferable
