About Encore AI

Encore AI is redefining how financial institutions engage with their customers using AI. Our conversational AI platform transforms complex financial journeys into seamless, guided experiences across both chat and voice. We enable banks, lenders, insurance companies, and fintech platforms to improve conversion rates, reduce operational costs, and deliver superior customer experiences across onboarding, KYC, lending, payments, and servicing journeys. Our platform combines deep financial services expertise with advanced AI capabilities, allowing organisations to deploy intelligent agents that guide users step-by-step through critical processes. With a growing base of enterprise clients globally and strong traction across multiple regions, Encore AI is now expanding its presence across the United States and Australia/New Zealand, anchored by our New York offices.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to be the technical anchor of Encore AI’s sales motion across the United States and Australia/New Zealand (ANZ), based out of our New York offices. Working with sales leadership and global account leaders, you will own the technical win across complex enterprise deal cycles with banks, lenders, insurers, and fintech platforms in both markets. Much of this work happens virtually — running discovery calls, demos, and workshops with clients across US and ANZ time zones. You will lead solution discovery, deliver high-impact product demonstrations, and serve as the trusted technical voice with both C-level and engineering stakeholders. This is a pure pre-sales role for a senior practitioner who thrives on translating customer problems into compelling, defensible solutions and converting technical credibility into closed revenue.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical product demonstrations and solution presentations to both C-level and technical stakeholders, largely via video calls across US and ANZ time zones
  • Run discovery sessions and solution design workshops to map Encore AI’s capabilities to customer journeys, business cases, and target outcomes
  • Own technical objection handling, security and compliance reviews, and RFP/RFI responses across enterprise deal cycles
  • Develop and maintain tailored demo environments, solution narratives, and reference architectures for US and ANZ financial services use cases
  • Build competitive differentiation narratives against incumbents and emerging AI players in the US and ANZ markets
  • Partner with sales leadership to drive technical win rates, deal velocity, and forecast accuracy across complex enterprise opportunities
  • Translate customer requirements into clear scopes, integration patterns, and commercial constructs that align with Encore AI’s product roadmap
  • Provide structured feedback to product and engineering on customer requirements, market trends, and competitive gaps
  • Lead technical handover to the post-sales implementation team to ensure a seamless transition from signature to go-live

Requirements

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions consulting, or pre-sales within enterprise B2B SaaS
  • Proven background in regulated Financial Services (banking, insurance, lending, payments, or fintech) is required
  • Strong technical fluency with conversational AI, LLM-based agents, and prompt engineering in an enterprise context
  • Hands-on understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and enterprise integration patterns (identity, event-driven architectures, secure data exchange)
  • Proven ability to run enterprise sales cycles and influence both technical and business buyers from analyst to C-level
  • Strong commercial instincts, with experience shaping deals, scoping commercial constructs, and driving technical close
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling, and written communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of the US and ANZ financial services markets, regulatory environments, and buyer landscapes preferred
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of virtual, cross-time-zone client engagements (video calls, remote demos, async collaboration) in lieu of frequent in-person travel
  • Experience operating in high-growth, early-stage, or zero-to-one environments
  • Executive presence and comfort engaging senior stakeholders up to C-level
  • Based in New York, NY, with flexibility to work occasional early-morning or evening hours to align with ANZ business hours; travel is minimal and only as needed

Why Join Encore AI

This is a unique opportunity to be the founding technical voice of Encore AI’s sales motion across the United States and Australia/New Zealand. You will work directly with regional and global leadership, shape how Encore AI wins in some of the most competitive AI markets globally, and play a foundational role in scaling a category-defining platform across financial services from our New York offices. Encore AI operates at the intersection of AI and one of the most complex and high-value industries globally, offering both challenge and significant upside.
