JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOX Business & Data Platforms team is seeking a highly motivated team player to join our tech team supporting FOX News. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Salesforce platform, with a proven track record of developing complex applications and custom solutions using the Salesforce platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and launching efficient business applications for FOX News.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development and Customization: Design and develop high-quality business solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce Lightning components. Create and customize Salesforce objects, fields, record types, page layouts, workflow rules, validations, and process builders.

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Salesforce team, including overseeing and reviewing the work of other developers, and mentoring junior developers.

• Integration: Implement and maintain Salesforce integrations with other business systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools.

• Data Management: Execute data migration and data quality initiatives, including the use of tools like Data Loader and duplication management tools.

• System Optimization: Analyze complex systems and troubleshoot and isolate system issues. Recommend enhancements to existing configurations to improve system performance and user experience.

• Testing: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure that all solutions are robust and performant before deployment.

• Deployment/Release Management: Manage Salesforce releases, using tools such as Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.

• Documentation: Write and maintain clear, concise functional and technical documentation.

• Best Practices: Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices to make recommendations on process improvements.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Salesforce Platform Developer I/II Certification is highly preferred.

• Multiple years of Salesforce development experience, with a strong focus on Apex and Visualforce development.

• Proven track record of delivering complex development projects.

• Familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.

• Solid understanding of Salesforce declarative automation tools and the Salesforce data model.

• Experience with Flow.

• Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, etc.

• Experience with Salesforce Lightning development is a must.

• Lightning Web Component development experience

• Experience in Salesforce integration with Box, AWS S3

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER

• Salesforce AI / Agentforce experience.

• Media industry experience.

• Advanced Salesforce certifications.

• Familiarity with Service Cloud.

• Familiarity with Wordpress

• Familiarity with modern software development tools and practices such as Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.

• Experience with web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $121,500.00-174,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
