Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Scheduler with 10+ years’ experience with NYCHA Buildings, Housing Redevelopment, and Rehabilitation Projects. There is an immediate need for a Senior Scheduler with Primavera P6 Software experience. The Scheduler will work with the Project Team in an office environment to coordinate the development of construction project schedules within Program requirements. The Scheduler should be an effective communicator and team player. The position will require superior cross-functional skills including interfacing with customers and other project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost and resource loaded program schedules, tracking critical path activities, slipping tasks, resource utilization, earned value, schedule variance, etc. for several construction projects using Primavera P6 Software.
  • Develop and recommend corrective action plans for program schedule issues.
  • Develop Monthly Program Schedule reports inclusive of baseline schedules, actual schedules, estimated dates of completion, critical path activities, slipping activities, earned value metrics, and schedule performance indices (SPI).
  • Attend program progress and schedule meetings.
  • Accurately track contractor work progress related to schedule.
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all program stages.
  • Provide leadership to scheduling team when necessary, ensuring the delivery on all accountabilities.
  • Identify improvements for schedule procedures, templates and products, and refer ideas to managers.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ability to be full-time on project site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field with 10 or more years of experience or equivalent.
  • NYCHA experience is a must.
  • Extensive working experience with Primavera P6 software.
  • Must have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills.
  • PE license or PMI-SP candidates preferred.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must.
  • Have a solid time management system and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, estimating, engineering, and cost tracking systems.
  • Uncompromising integrity.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Word, Excel, and AutoCAD software.
  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, stand, walk and reach in varying climates (hot, cold, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30lbs
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, vests, and steel-toed boots, for prolonged periods.
