The annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,900.00 to $151,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. How You Will Achieve It
- Regularly contribute and influence at the project team level.
- Design and execute experiments to profile innate immune responses to vaccine candidates, driving candidate selection and advancement.
- Develop in vitro and ex vivo assays and models to validate biomarkers predictive of vaccine efficacy and reactogenicity.
- Develop, optimize, and perform flow cytometry and multiplex cytokine assays to support preclinical studies, and evaluate new models.
- Supervise junior colleagues in design and execution of experiments.
- Identify, trouble-shoot, and optimize relevant assay systems, technologies, and readouts.
- Conduct research that leads to publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation of data at internal and external meetings.
- Effectively collaborate with other members of Vaccine Research & Development and supporting partner lines.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD in Immunology 0 to 4 years of scientific/technical experience OR Master's degree and between 7 to 10 years of scientific/technical experience
- Strong background in innate immunity
- Track record of scientific excellence in immunology
- Highly skilled with biomarker assay platforms such as immunoassays (ADCC, ADCP, ELISPOT, ELISA, Luminex, MSD).
- Proficiency in multiparametric flow cytometry assays including immunophenotyping and immune based functional assays
- Expertise in primary cell immune isolation, differentiation and characterization from murine tissues and human blood
- Extensive experience in innate immune cell subsets isolation and characterization using multi-color flow cytometry
- Knowledge of trained immunity and systems vaccinology
- Experience with human organoid vaccine models
- Ability to perform complex data analysis and team player with strong communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with adjuvant vaccine assay development
- Experience with coding, including writing R and Python scripts
- Solid background in vaccine research, innate immunology, infectious diseases or related fields, and a desire to continue in a laboratory-focused role
