The Role

We're looking for a talented, hungry, and technically excellent Senior Software Engineer, Agents to join our team.

In this role you will dream up, build, and ship LM Studio features to millions of users worldwide, at a fast clip. You will be intermixing UI work with systems engineering, design, and applied AI / agentic engineering work.

You may be a good fit if you love building software products, have an innate talent for crafting product experiences, and you approach technical problems with a scientific method mindset. Holistic understanding of software systems and the ability to work across the stack is a must. Experience building desktop applications is a big plus, but not required.

This role is in-person in our New York City office. Relocation assistance is possible. In your application, please share technical details about your expertise and things that you've built.

Relevant experience: React, TypeScript, Electron, Swift, Objective-C, C++.

Our Interview Process

We are looking for engineering excellence and strong values / cultural fit. If your application appears to be a good match we'll reach out to schedule an initial call. If all goes well, we will proceed to 2-3 technical interviews. The final step in the process is an onsite interview in our New York office, where you will work through several more technical sessions focused around system design and architecture, meet the team and see how we work.
