We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Marketplace Core team. This team builds the core product for both the website and the mobile app (iOS and Android). You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to create exceptional, high-performing experiences for both customers and partners — driving impact across site performance and key business KPIs.

The ideal candidate will be based in or near New York City, as this position requires on-site work at the NYC headquarters four days per week.

• Lead and execute an ambitious roadmap, launching key products that will drive the company into its next growth phase.

• Collaborate with senior technical leadership to foster a culture of technical excellence and maturity while keeping it aligned with the company’s current stage.

• Participate in the on-call rotation to support critical business incidents outside of regular hours.

• Work as part of a versatile team of technologists building on AWS, leveraging a modern stack that includes Ruby on Rails, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ECS.

• 8+ years of professional experience working with web technologies

• Expertise in Flutter or a strong desire to become an expert

• Deep understanding of the nuances of mobile development in at least one platform — iOS or Android

• Proven experience developing high-scale applications

• Track record of building high-quality, reliable applications

• Empathetic communicator who collaborates effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

• Passionate about crafting exceptional products that delight users and drive measurable business impact

• Salary range 180-200k US/year
