Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption.

We have partnered with 1,500+ companies in the US & UK to deliver a new kind of learning that's transforming today’s workforce.

Multiverse apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage and focus on building critical AI, data, and tech skills. Multiverse learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they’ve learned to improve productivity and measurable performance.

In June 2022, Multiverse announced a $220 million Series D funding round co-led by StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. With a post-money valuation of $1.7bn, the round makes the company the UK’s first EdTech unicorn.

But we aren’t stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees globally, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We’re building a world where tech skills unlock people’s potential and output. Join Multiverse and power our mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.

The Team

The U.S. team’s mission is to empower organizations with our service-as-a-software suite to accelerate the adoption of their AI tools, evaluate their impact, and scale successful use cases across their operations.

As companies invest heavily in AI to maintain a competitive advantage, the pace of adoption often lags behind expectations. We are committed to addressing this challenge head-on by focusing on a critical need in the market: boosting the adoption and impact of AI tools in organizations.

Join us on our journey to drive AI tool adoption for companies.
The Opportunity

We’re looking for a senior software engineer who’s excited to solve real problems and make an impact. Our team operates like a startup within a larger company—we have our own codebase, financials, and business processes. That means you get the speed and autonomy of a startup, with the backing of a bigger company that stays out of our way.

Right now is an incredible time to join Multiverse’s US Engineering team as we build a new product to help companies integrate AI into their workflows. If you thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and want to work on meaningful, complex challenges, we’d love to chat.

We believe in giving you the support and freedom to do your best work, in an environment where everyone can grow. As part of our US product team, you’ll gain deep domain expertise and play a key role in shaping the future of our product.
The role is hybrid and the team are based in NYC, spending 3 days per week in the office.

You will enjoy being a Senior Software Engineer at Multiverse if:

  • You care deeply about Software Engineering and want to improve in your craft

  • You are motivated by having impact through your work as well as helping others succeed

  • You understand that making trade-offs is part of the job and you will work with peers, squad leads and business partners to make decisions at pace

  • You love owning problems from start to finish

  • You are adaptable and enjoy solving problems with technology; you aren’t wed to specific frameworks or languages

About you

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent demonstrated expertise working in cross-functional product teams. We welcome candidates from diverse educational and professional backgrounds to apply.

  • You are curious and wanting to learn and apply the latest AI tools

  • You promote engineering excellence through architectures that deliver robust, scalable systems. Having designed, developed and maintained event driven systems is a plus

  • Ability to select and use the most appropriate tools, technologies, and languages for the job. Typescript is a plus

  • Have interest in DevOps and infrastructure, and are comfortable with on-call responsibilities to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems

  • Team-oriented and collaborative, with a proven track record of working in a highly cooperative environment, including mentoring and learning from other team members.

  • Comfortable working on greenfield projects
