Vantage is the FinOps platform built for modern engineering teams, trusted by thousands of organizations including Block, FanDuel, Vercel, Temporal, and CircleCI, to manage and optimize infrastructure costs across hyperscalers, cloud providers, and foundational models. We're passionate about building a cloud cost transparency platform that helps enable everyone, from developers to enterprises, analyze, report, collaborate on, and optimize their cloud spend. Together we are a high-output team of ~50 employees based in New York City with a remote-friendly culture.
Backed by $25M from Andreessen Horowitz and Scale Venture Partners, and prominent industry veterans: Matthew Prince (Co-Founder, Cloudflare), Calvin French Owen (Co-Founder, Segment), Ben and Moisey Uretsky (Co-Founders, DigitalOcean), Stephanie and Nat Friedman (CEO, Github), Julia Lipton, Brianne Kimmel and others.
About The Role:You'll join a small, high-performing platform team building the systems that power Vantage's core: data pipelines, workflow orchestration, and the infrastructure that keeps everything running reliably at scale. We move fast: 10-20 production releases a day, with a backlog that's always groomed and prioritized.
We use Linear and AI tools (e.g. Claude, Codex, Cursor) as core tools, not novelties. Lightweight processes (ADRs, Slack huddles) allow us to be connected and co-ordinated without sacrificing quality. Your work will span new infrastructure, performance, scalability, and systems reliability - often in the same week. Very quickly after joining, you'll see your work reflected in how the platform performs for every customer who depends on it.
We expect everyone to have a voice. If something's slowing us down or could be done better, you'll be expected to make a suggested improvement; iteration isn't just for code.

Strong foundations in distributed systems, data pipelines, or workflow orchestration - experience with Temporal, ClickHouse, or similar tools is a plus
Comfortable contributing to infrastructure projects end-to-end: from schema design and query optimization to deployment and observability on Kubernetes
Preference for simple, durable designs - someone who knows when not to add complexity
Experience defining platform boundaries and enabling other engineering teams to build on top of reliable foundations
Someone who has led impactful projects and takes ownership seriously
