About You:

Skimmer is looking for an AI-forward, creative developer for our growth and go-to-market development team. You will be responsible for improving our customer’s experience inside the Skimmer app mainly targeted around new user sign up, billing and getting started. You will report into the R&D / Development organization but partner cross functionally with all stakeholders involved with onboarding, customer experience, and billing (Finance, Customer Success and Support to name 2).

We are looking for candidates who have experience with API based, real-time integrations, especially Stripe subscriptions. You will work closely with US and front-end developers in ensure optimal customer experiences at all time. Your role is critical in getting new customers excited about Skimmer, helping them get started using the platform, and making each feature accessible and intuitive when customers try them..

The Growth Team owns the first part of Skimmer app that customers interact with, including Stripe subscriptions, implementation checklists, and initial set up. They own metrics like “first 30 day retention” and “percent of the application configured”

Your number 1 goal in this role is to deliver a great customer experience for new accounts.

What you'll do:
  • Be the internal technical expert on Skimmer subscriptions through Stripe.

  • Help make the subscription process more flexible and efficient by improving the Skimmer app to take advantage of Stripe features

  • Assist in vendor selection to solve challenges as they arise.

  • Create APIs and systems to help customers onboard faster and unlock their own productivity.

  • Understand the key metrics for user adoption.

  • Implement A/B testing on workflows to understand what works for our customers.

Early Projects (first 90 days)::
  • Enable Stripe’s free trial workflow.

  • Take greater advantage of Stripe’s new user workflow to unlock additional sales workflows.

  • Implement Stripe’s metered billing to better track usage.

Your Experience:
  • Building API integrations for SaaS, ideally vertical SaaS, products

  • Comfortable developing in is C#

  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL.

  • Proven expertise with Stripe; ideally Stripe subscriptions

  • An eye for detail and willingness to experiment to find the right solution

  • Enough overall business understanding to advise on the implications of technical decisions and direct teams towards optimal results

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and a track record of leading successful cross-functional projects.

  • Ideal candidates will have understanding of tax and accounting relating to software subscriptions
