The Robinhood Wallet team’s mission is to democratize access to financial services worldwide by leveraging DeFi protocols and Robinhood Chain! As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll build and own the backend services, infrastructure, and data systems that support Robinhood Wallet products. You will develop reliable and secure solutions to deliver a high-quality trading experience for cryptocurrencies and tokenized stocks, including perpetual futures, to customers worldwide. In this role, you will take lead responsibility for designing scalable architectures and maintaining high-quality codebases. You will collaborate closely with client engineers, security professionals, and external node providers to deliver high-quality, secure technical integrations. Additionally, you will mentor other engineers and raise our overall engineering standards through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on technical leadership.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services that power Robinhood Wallet.

• Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements that meet strict correctness and scalability standards.

• Identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.

• Collaborate closely with client teams, product managers, designers, and external vendors to deliver reliable technical solutions.

• Mentor other engineers and raise the technical standards of the team through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on leadership.

• 5+ years of experience in software development.

• Expertise in backend development using languages such as Go, Python, or Java, with deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures.

• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.

• Proven ability to simplify complex problems, make sound tradeoffs, and drive alignment across product, engineering, and design teams.

• Strong sense of personal accountability with a track record of delivering high-quality, end-to-end products and raising team-wide technical standards.

• Experience working for a DeFi protocol, a crypto wallet company, or another blockchain-related company.

• Familiarity with technologies like EVM blockchains and smart contracts.
