Senior Software Engineer — Agentic AI Platform
Location: Remote | Full-time | Competitive Compensation
Apiphani is building the future of intelligent infrastructure automation through agentic AI. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and build the user-facing experiences that power Luumen — an AI-driven automation platform used by enterprise IT and managed service providers around the world.
This is a zero-to-one engineering role focused on building fast, intelligent, and extensible web applications that bring agentic AI to life. You’ll work across modern frameworks like React, Next.js, and GraphQL, collaborating closely with product, backend, and design teams to create highly interactive, data-rich interfaces for managing and monitoring enterprise infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build modern, responsive web interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Develop GraphQL and REST client integrations to surface real-time AI insights and infrastructure data
- Implement reusable components and shared UI frameworks for scalability across Luumen’s web products
- Collaborate with backend engineers to define data contracts and optimize API performance
- Integrate with agentic and LLM-driven systems, visualizing AI reasoning and contextual responses
- Build robust end-to-end tests using Cypress and Playwright, ensuring reliability across browsers and environments
- Optimize performance, accessibility, and security across all web surfaces
- Contribute to front-end architecture decisions, tooling improvements, and code quality standards
- Work closely with product and design teams to translate complex AI and infrastructure concepts into intuitive, usable interfaces
- Participate in code reviews, feature planning, and agile iteration cycles
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of experience developing modern web applications at scale
- Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Deep understanding of GraphQL and client-side data fetching strategies
- Experience writing maintainable, testable UI code with Cypress, Jest, or Playwright
- Solid grasp of frontend performance optimization, state management, and component lifecycle patterns
- Familiarity with AI/LLM concepts and integrating model-driven APIs into web apps
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure session management in SPA environments
- Proficiency with version control and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Docker, etc.)
- Strong design instincts and ability to communicate technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced, collaborative remote team
Bonus Points
- Experience visualizing AI outputs, embeddings, or system telemetry in dashboards or analytics UIs
- Familiarity with Next.js App Router, React Server Components, or Edge Rendering
- Exposure to GraphQL federation or schema stitching across distributed systems
- Background in enterprise SaaS, DevOps tooling, or monitoring/observability platforms
- Contributions to open-source front-end or developer tooling projects
- Experience with AI-based UX or conversational interfaces
