Senior Specialist, Product Development
Overview:
Mastercard's North America (NAM) Small Business segment team is responsible for advancing the company's efforts to address the needs of small businesses through innovative and business-centric solutions, alleviating small business pain points while driving stickiness and utility for bank, merchant, and fintech customers. The NAM Small Business 'core products' are comprised of credit, debit and prepaid card solutions. We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Small Business Partnerships sitting within the NAM Small Business Core team to be responsible for supporting and driving the delivery of the partnership strategy for merchant card benefits and will support benefit innovation and implementation overall on the core. Merchant benefits are critical to the way small business cardholders engage with their cards, their bank, and our brand. The candidate will support the negotiation and management of strategic partner relationships, working alongside the Director of Core & Partnerships and the head of Core Management & Partnerships. They will be responsible for leading the Easy Savings small business offers program within the U.S and helping to drive customer enrollment as well as the acquisition of new merchant offers. They will also support the overall core product strategy as it evolves to continue to meet the needs of businesses.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage relationships with merchant partners on our U.S. small business card propositions and oversee key initiatives including benefit UX development and implementation, performance reporting to issuers and leadership, contract amendments, optimization, and more.
Support the identification, negotiation, and launch of net new merchant benefits in the core product line.
Work with the small business data analyst and Core Product team leads to develop business cases, manage budgets, and gain approvals for new merchant deals.
Lead go-to-market efforts with the merchant partners and Mastercard product marketing teams to develop and disseminate marketing materials related to benefit launches and sunsets - including issuer bulletin announcements, B2B2C marketing materials, sales materials, press releases and more.
Serve as the main point of contact in the U.S. for the Easy Savings offers program; support new customer enrollment and merchant offers, and partner with Global to define the program roadmap in the region.
Serve as a subject matter expert on the core product line and support customer efforts to promote and optimize card benefits.
Support the core product team on furtherance of forward looking strategies to grow the business and market share
Represent the business narrative and card value propositions to issuing and fintech customers to drive customer promotion of and cardholder engagement in small business core benefits.
Work with the team to identify, scope, size, and implement innovative card benefits that alleviate business pain points and drive card engagement

You have experience navigating data platforms and are comfortable gleaning insights from raw data to build a strategy or narrative.
You have strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to execute against a vision while balancing priorities.
You are adept at mobilizing support and soliciting input from cross-functional partners to bridge strategy into execution.
