The Role:

Modern Health is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant Relations Manager to shape and drive our consultant partnerships in the Central Region. In this highly visible role, you'll report to and work alongside our VP of Partnerships and own the day-to-day management of our partners and their clients, acting as a liaison between Modern Health and a targeted group of innovative and passionate benefit consultants. You will be responsible for identifying new partnership opportunities, nurturing existing high-value partners and representing Modern Health as a leader in the industry to positively impact the lives of millions. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, enthusiastic, relationship-oriented, and mission-driven.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the national point of contact for key brokerage and consulting partners, while owning relationships across Midwest consulting firms, engaging senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, and lead consultants.
  • Drive growth by generating qualified opportunities through consultant partners Develop and execute strategic plans across a defined set of firms to ensure consistent referrals and advocacy for Modern Health.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives and Client Management to activate relationships, influence opportunities, and support a seamless client and renewal experience.
  • Build and deepen relationships across the brokerage and consulting ecosystem, while collaborating cross-functionally with Growth, Product, Clinical Care, and Operations to align on strategy and execution.
  • Lead compelling presentations and strategic conversations that elevate how partners and employers think about mental health, positioning Modern Health as a differentiated market leader.

  • Grounded in the realities of the Central Region market. You understand the importance of strong local relationships, how local offices operate, and how to balance national strategy with local influence to drive impact.
  • Naturally curious and insight-driven. You ask the right questions, listen closely, and turn what you hear from the market into actionable insights that shape strategy.
  • High EQ with executive presence. You communicate with confidence and clarity, engage senior stakeholders effectively, and know how to read the room.
  • A connector across teams. You collaborate seamlessly with Sales, Client Management, Product, and Clinical teams to create alignment and drive results.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and ownership. You take initiative, operate with urgency, and help create structure where it doesn’t yet exist.

Role Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in the employer healthcare benefits space, including brokerage, consulting, or vendor partnerships/sales.
  • Proven experience building and managing relationships with national and regional brokerage and consulting firms.
  • Demonstrated success influencing pipeline through the generation of qualified sales opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of how consultants evaluate solutions and make recommendations to clients.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Client Management, Product, and other internal teams to drive outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives forward in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Healthcare, Health Management, or related field).

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. Ranges are not necessarily indicative of the associated starting pay range in other locations. Depending on the scope of the role, some ranges are indicative of On Target Earnings (OTE) and includes both base pay and commission at 100% achievement of established targets.
