Job Description

Blue Hour Studios is a social-first agency that makes brands magnetic through work that gets shared, remixed, and talked about. We create at the intersection of culture, content, creators, and commerce to help brands turn distinct cultural relevance into demand.

Headquartered in New York and Los Angeles and backed by Horizon Media, we connect creativity and media to drive real business impact. Our recipe for success? We hire talented people from different perspectives (that’s where you come in), challenge them, and give them every opportunity to grow.

What You’ll Do:

Our strategy team uncovers the interesting connections across culture, content, creators and commerce, that help brands succeed in a social-first world. We’re looking for a culturally sharp, analytically strong Senior Social Strategist to join our team.

You’ll support the social and influencer strategy for a flagship client, with a primary focus on turning social data, listening, and cultural signals into actionable strategy. You’ll lead the charge on social listening, trend identification, influencer identification, and performance reporting, helping ensure our work is grounded in what’s actually happening in culture and optimized in-market. You’ll partner closely with creative, influencer, and paid teams to translate insights into briefs, content directions, and measurable impact. The Senior Social Strategist reports into the VP, Social Strategy Director.

Strategy:

  • Lead social listening and analysis, using social listening tools and third-party data to uncover cultural trends, audience behaviors, and competitive signals.

  • Continuously track and identify emerging trends, formats, creators, and conversations that can inform content and campaign strategy.

  • Translate social, cultural, and conversational data into clear insights, implications, and actionable recommendations.

  • Identify, evaluate, and build shortlists of creators and influencers based on audience data, content performance, and cultural relevance.

  • Support the development of social and influencer strategies grounded in real-time insights and performance signals.

  • Partner with creative, influencer, and paid teams to ensure ideas are platform-native, culturally relevant, and built to scale.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Own performance tracking and reporting across social and influencer campaigns, ensuring clear visibility into what’s working and why.

  • Develop and maintain social and influencer reporting tied to business outcomes.

  • Analyze content, creator, and platform performance to identify optimization opportunities.

  • Turn data into stories, translating performance into clear, actionable insights for our team.

  • Support test-and-learn approaches, using data to validate ideas and continuously improve results.

Leadership & Thought Leadership:

  • Support the VP, Social Strategy Director in leading day-to-day strategy across the account.

  • Act as a key partner to creative, influencer, and paid teams, bringing a strong POV grounded in data, culture, and social trends.

  • Help develop POVs, trend reports, and social intelligence outputs that keep clients ahead.

  • Be a go-to resource for what’s happening across platforms, creators, and communities.

Who You Are:

  • You’re deeply plugged into social, culture, and creators, and constantly tracking what’s happening.

  • You have strong experience with social listening, analytics, and performance reporting, and know how to turn data into insight.

  • You’re fluent in platform behaviors, formats, and trends across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.

  • You understand how to evaluate creators, from content quality to audience signals to performance.

  • You’re a clear thinker and strong writer who can translate complex data into simple actions.

  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple streams of work.

  • You’re curious, proactive, and always looking to push the work further with smarter insights.

Additional Requirements:

  • 4–6+ years of experience in social strategy, with a strong focus on analytics, listening, or influencer strategy.

  • Deep experience with social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Hootsuite, Tubular Labs) and platform analytics.

  • Experience identifying and evaluating influencers using data and performance metrics.

  • Proven ability to develop insights from data and translate them into actionable strategy.

  • Strong experience with reporting, dashboards, and performance analysis.

  • Strong deck writing and presentation skills.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
