Lead administration and governance of Microsoft 365 and Azure, manage complex cross-tenant access and M&A integrations, oversee mailbox/Teams/SharePoint migrations, administer email security, manage Windows server and virtualization operations, govern Power Platform, handle delegated access, and provide technical ownership during acquisitions.
The Senior Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, ensuring secure and efficient operations. This role involves overseeing complex cross-tenant access scenarios, M&A integrations, and domain migrations, as well as providing expertise in Power Platform, Entra ID, and email security.
Responsibilities
- Lead the administration and governance of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Entra ID.
- Manage complex cross-tenant access scenarios, ensuring secure and efficient collaboration across multiple tenants.
- Oversee M&A integrations and cross-tenant migrations, including mailbox, Teams, SharePoint, and identity consolidation.
- Configure and manage multi-tenant organization (MTO) settings, such as cross-tenant synchronization, shared address books, and calendar federation.
- Administer email security and messaging infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage Windows server operations, virtualization, and incident response, with a focus on automation and service improvement.
- Collaborate with internal application development teams to ensure optimal utilization of Power Platform services.
- Monitor and govern Power Platform database allocations, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Handle read-only and delegated access requests to Azure and M365 resources, maintaining a secure and controlled environment.
- Provide technical ownership and expertise during M&A activities, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of acquired entities.
- 5+ years of experience in a Microsoft 365 / enterprise systems engineering role, preferably in a large, complex organization.
- Proven hands-on experience with M365 cross-tenant migrations and integrations, including mailbox, Teams, and SharePoint migrations.
- Deep understanding of multi-tenant organization (MTO) architecture and cross-tenant access policies.
- Strong Entra ID / Azure AD skills, including app registrations, conditional access, and guest identity management.
- Experience with Power Platform administration, including environment management and service principal governance.
- Familiarity with email security standards (DMARC, SPF, DKIM) and enforcement tooling.
- ITSM experience, including change management, CHR procedures, and incident management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for AI tooling and automation, with a willingness to explore and implement AI-powered solutions for infrastructure and M365 operations.
- Knowledge of financial services regulatory and compliance requirements is an asset.
Compensation Expectations: $180,000 - $200,000 Base Salary
