Summary

The Senior Tableau Developer will support the Enterprise Data Quality team within the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining multiple Tableau dashboards that enable end-to-end monitoring of KeyBank’s Enterprise Data Quality Program, including Critical Data Elements (CDEs), from source to report, across all transformation points. The ideal candidate will bring strong SQL skills, experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, and a passion for delivering high-quality, actionable data visualizations that support data trust and transparency.

A successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Tableau and data integration with a strong understanding of data quality principles and business needs. This role requires close collaboration with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that visualizations are accurate, performant, and aligned with enterprise data quality objectives.

Responsibilities

Dashboard Development & Visualization Strategy

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Tableau dashboards and reports to support data quality monitoring and reporting
  • Translate business requirements into intuitive and insightful visualizations that drive decision-making
  • Apply data visualization best practices to ensure clarity, usability, and performance
  • Demonstrated ability to precisely configure and align Tableau UI components—including objects, images, and visualizations—to meet detailed design specifications and stakeholder expectations

Data Integration & Accuracy

  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including Google BigQuery, Excel, and SharePoint Lists, into Tableau
  • Automate processes and reporting to ensure consistency and data integrity
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all visualizations
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to validate data pipelines and transformations

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor and optimize Tableau dashboards for performance and responsiveness
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connectivity, rendering, and user access

Analytical Depth & Predictive Insight

  • Use queries and data mining to produce complex reports and descriptive analysis.
  • Answer questions such as “How do I measure?” and “What happened?”.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay current with Tableau features, GCP capabilities, and industry trends in data visualization
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to improve dashboard functionality and user experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer or in a similar data visualization role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets
  • Strong proficiency in data preparation from multiple sources covering multiple technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $120,000 to $150,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
