Description:

As Junior Technical Writer, you will be focusing on creating and maintaining documentation to support our product suite. In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts across multiple departments, including engineering, product, customer success, and sales. Your goal is to produce clear technical documentation for our products and services that can be understood by our entire client base, from new end users to developers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain documentation, including user guides, FAQs, API documentation, SOPs, and release notes
  • Review and edit existing documentation to ensure accuracy, relevancy, and effectiveness
  • Ensure content adheres to company guidelines, including branding and style guide standards
  • Collaborate with SMEs to produce detailed but comprehensible technical specifications for client use as well as internal documentation
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easy to understand language and images
  • Work in cooperative cross-department communication alongside Lead Technical Writer to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or similar field
  • 3 - 4 years of experience in technical writing or procedural writing
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation
  • Familiarity with use of CMS and version control programs, preferably Git
  • Familiarity with use of Atlassian tools for project management
  • Familiarity with word processing tools, including GSuite, Word, and Adobe
  • Basic understanding of cURL, Markdown, and Python
  • Basic understanding of RESTful API standards, including JSON output
  • Ability to work multiple projects and prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, with particular attention paid to proofreading skills and ability to catch and correct obscure text in technical writing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with B2B SaaS industry standards and expectations
  • Experience with Agile workflows a plus
