Morningstar DBRS is seeking an experienced credit professional to join its corporate ratings group as a Senior Vice President (SVP), based in New York City. The SVP will grow our analytical coverage of U.S.-based companies across a broad range of industries including services, industrials, and consumer products. Coverage will include public and private credit ratings for both investment grade and non-investment grade borrowers. The SVP will mentor other team members, collaborate with colleagues globally and deepen our relationships with corporate debt issuers, bankers, and investors.

Base Salary Compensation Range
$149,357.00 - 279,571.00 USD Annual
Incentive Target Percentage
40% Annual

If this applies and your account(s) are not with an approved broker, you will be required to move your holdings to an approved broker.

Responsibilities
- Grow our analytical coverage of U.S. corporates
- Assess creditworthiness of corporates across multiple sectors including services, industrials, and consumer products
- Mentor and coach other team members
- Manage relationships with debt issuers, bankers, and investors
- Produce and present high‑quality credit analysis, research, and presentations
- Model and analyze historical financials and prepare forecasts
- Represent Morningstar DBRS externally
- Support continuous process improvement
- Help us refine our research products and methodologies
- Provide analytical support for business development
Qualifications
- 10+ years of financial/credit analysis experience with significant corporate credit exposure
- Self-motivated team player who wants to help us grow our analytical coverage
- Strong financial statement analysis skills with deep understanding of US GAAP accounting standards
- Familiar with credit rating methodologies
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver under pressure, while paying attention to detail
- Degree in business, economics, finance, or related field
- Willing to travel as required
- CFA and/or graduate degree preferred
