The Senior Vice President of Finance will be a critical member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company and providing strategic financial leadership. The SVP of Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping Sensor Tower’s financial strategy, managing financial risks, and leading the finance team. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in finance, accounting, and strategic planning within the software or technology industry.
Salary: $290,000 - $325,000
What the SVP of Finance will do:
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives and long-term financial goals. Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
- Financial Operations: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, tax, treasury, and financial reporting.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements and compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks to maintain the company’s financial stability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Ensure the finance team has the necessary skills and resources to support the company’s financial operations and strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for financial stakeholders, including investors, banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, executive team, and other stakeholders. Oversee investor relations and communication, ensuring transparency and trust with shareholders.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Evaluate and execute potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. Conduct financial due diligence and integration planning for potential acquisitions.
- IPO Readiness and Execution: Lead the company’s preparation for a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO).Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for public companies. Oversee the preparation of necessary documentation, including S-1 filings and financial disclosures. Coordinate with external advisors, underwriters, and legal counsel to ensure a successful IPO process. Manage investor relations and communication during and after the IPO process.
Experience the SVP of Finance candidate can bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in the software industry or a technology-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Preference for candidates with experience from private equity or leading finance teams at private equity-backed companies.
