Own Air and CEO social voice on LinkedIn and Twitter/X: write daily posts, develop recurring formats and narratives, ghostwrite leadership content, turn product and customer stories into high-performing posts, monitor competitors and trends, experiment with tone and distribution, and sharpen product positioning.
Air is a Creative Ops System for creative teams. Our product automates the mindless tasks that creatives and marketers do every day to manage content and unlocks creativity through image recognition, automated versioning, and approval workflows. We launched in March 2021 and have raised +$70m from world-class venture capital groups including Avenir, Tiger Global, Headline Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, WndrCo, and Slack Ventures.
This role requires in-office attendance at least 3 days/week in New York City.
Air is hiring a Senior Writer to own our voice across LinkedIn and Twitter/X. This hire will be responsible for making Air and its CEO unavoidable online: building a recognizable brand voice, shaping how the market perceives Air beyond "DAM software," and ghostwriting high-performing content that compounds over time. If you deeply understand software, internet culture, and how positioning wins attention, this is your job.
- Write daily content across LinkedIn and Twitter/X for both the Air brand and CEO accounts
- Develop recurring content formats, narratives, and POVs that build long-term audience equity
- Turn product launches, customer stories, internet moments, and internal thinking into high-performing posts
- Ghostwrite posts, threads, launch copy, and reactive commentary for leadership
- Work closely with leadership to sharpen messaging and positioning
- Study competitors, creative tools, AI startups, and software trends obsessively
- Identify opportunities for Air to participate in conversations before they go mainstream
- Maintain a fast feedback loop around what works and what doesn't; experiment constantly with tone, format, visuals, and distribution
- 3–5 years writing for technology companies, founders, products, or media brands
- Deep understanding of startup and software culture
- Extremely online, in the best way possible
- Strong instincts for internet humor, timing, and attention
- Clear POV on how positioning and distribution work in modern software
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and a fast writer with sharp editing instincts
Bonus points if you:
- Have built an audience online yourself
- Have worked at a startup or SaaS company
- Know tech Twitter lore embarrassingly well
- Enjoy making fun of fake productivity culture and startup clichés
- Act like a driver: Take initiative and ownership without waiting to be told.
- Work in public: Share ideas openly, get feedback early, and collaborate across teams.
- Play to win: Aim high and bring creativity, adaptability, and focus to your work.
- Say the hard thing: Give and receive feedback with clarity and respect.
- Disagree and commit: Debate honestly, then align quickly to move forward together.
Why Air?
