Position Summary

DaVita is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow Senior Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The Senior Developer will play a critical role in the strategy, architecture, and development of the ServiceNow platform, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in HR Service Delivery (HRSD), IT Service Management (ITSM), and NowAssist.

This position involves leading complex projects, partnering with ServiceNow Engineers for architectural guidance to ensure the platform evolves in line with DaVita’s strategic goals, and mentoring junior developers. The ideal candidate will be a top performer with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and maintaining critical platform functions.

Core Responsibilities

Platform Strategy and Architecture:

  • Contribute to the long-term strategy and roadmap for the ServiceNow platform.
  • Support architectural decisions and provide insight for new and complex projects.
  • Serve as the designated SME for modules and processes within DaVita's ServiceNow environment.

Development and Implementation:

  • Support the end-to-end design and implementation of high-profile projects such as an HRSD implementation.
  • Drive AI enablement initiatives within the ServiceNow platform using NowAssist to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and support complex integrations related to enterprise service delivery.

Operational Excellence and Support:

  • Ensure the stability and performance of critical business processes on the platform, providing Tier 3 support and resolving complex issues.
  • Serve as a key teammate for identifying and resolving root causes of systemic issues.
  • Support efforts for delegated development on the platform, providing necessary oversight and governance.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work with architects and other engineers to focus on long-term strategy and large project efforts.
  • Provide guidance, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to developers and administrators.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience as a ServiceNow Developer or Senior Developer (e.g., 4-6+ years).
  • Solid technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform (JavaScript, Bootstrap, Glide API, Flow Designer, Integration Hub).
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred.

Desired Skills and Strengths:

  • Hands-on experience developing and implementing HRSD and ITSM; experience with FSM, BCM, and AI Control Tower preferred.
  • Proven experience deploying and configuring NowAssist and generative AI capabilities within ServiceNow.
  • Strong technical and architectural knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to understanding business needs before developing solutions.

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.

The Salary Range for the role is $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year.

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
