Thunderbolt™ 5 is the next major leap in high-performance connectivity, delivering up to 80 Gbps bi-directional bandwidth and dynamic asymmetric bandwidth up to 120 Gbps over a single USB-C connector.
Built on USB4 v2, it enables next generation use cases such as multi-8K displays, advanced docking, ultra-fast storage, eGPUs, and AI accelerators.
We’re looking for a Post-Silicon Electrical Validation Engineer to join our elite Thunderbolt 5 / USB4 EV team, pushing the limits of next-gen high-speed I/O validation and system integration.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute post-silicon electrical validation for Thunderbolt 5 / USB4 v2 / DisplayPort 2.1
- Perform high-speed measurements and analysis (eye, jitter, EQ, margin) at 20/40/80+ Gbps
- Debug complex issues across silicon, boards, firmware, BIOS, OS, and devices
- Work hands-on with high-bandwidth scopes, BERTs, TDR/TDT, protocol analyzers
- Build automation and analysis tools (Python / MATLAB)
- Collaborate closely with architecture, design, firmware, and platform teams
What we’re looking for
- BSc in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years post-silicon high-speed interface validation experience
- Strong lab skills and ability to learn complex specs independently
- Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
- Ability to interpret and self-learn complex technical specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Thunderbolt 3/4/5, USB4 / USB4 v2, DisplayPort 1.4 / 2.x, PCIe PHY
- Signal integrity and channel modelling background
- Co-coding experience
- AI-assisted validation or data analysis experience
