Company Description

The Class is a mindful wellness company with a global digital presence, and studio operations in NY and LA. Through a music driven practice we exercise the body to engage the mind. Through physical conditioning, we work out mental and emotional behaviors to create new tools for experiencing life. Founded in 2011 by Taryn Toomey, The Class is a wringing out, literally and figuratively, of the body, mind and soul. And it's fun! Headquartered in NYC, we are growing our passionate team as we continue to grow the scale and positive impact of The Class for people around the world.

Job Description

About the role:

Reporting to the VP of Digital Marketing, this is a hands-on, high-ownership role on a lean team. You'll move fluidly between big-picture brand thinking and in-the-weeds execution, often on the same day. We're looking for someone who's worked closely with founders before, brings ideas to the table rather than waiting for direction, and can pitch a concept in the morning and shoot content that afternoon.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and evolve content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube

  • Build and execute the weekly/monthly social calendar, including launches, promotions, and partnerships

  • Create, source, script, shoot, and post content daily

  • Work directly with founder Taryn Toomey to capture and extend her voice across all consumer touchpoints

  • Support brand partnerships and influencer initiatives end-to-end

  • Monitor and engage community: comments, followers, and UGC on a daily basis

  • Track platform performance and translate data into actionable strategy

  • Embody and foster The Class brand voice across all consumer touchpoints

  • Act as a key brand marketing partner across Studio, Digital Product, Partnerships, Experience, and Creative — translating brand strategy into tangible content and campaigns

  • Lead influencer initiatives end-to-end: sourcing and vetting talent who fit the brand, managing outreach and relationships, and reporting on outcomes

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • A brand-centric storyteller with a genuine marketing mindset

  • Proactive and opinionated -- you advocate for your ideas

  • Scrappy and resourceful, with an entrepreneurial approach

  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-moving, founder-led environment

What you’ve done:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related social media experience, with an emphasis on short-form reel content.

  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates your content creation skills. Applications without portfolio links will not be considered.

  • Experience with short-form reel content required.

  • Experience growing Youtube accounts (either professional or personal) is preferred, but not required.

  • Proven ability to uncover and implement emerging trends

  • Worked in high-level content strategy and hands-on production. Experience on camera preferred.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, founder-led, start-up environments

  • Video production experience—you’re intimately familiar with in-app creator tools across social platforms and know your way around video editing software like Adobe Premiere, Capcut, and/or Descript

Additional Information

Salary

The approximate salary range for this position is $95,000–$105,000. The exact salary offered may vary based on job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education and training, business needs, and market demands.

What we offer:

  • Unlimited paid vacation policy

  • Flexible in-office/remote working environment with approximately 3 days in the office

  • Medical, dental, vision, & 401K plan

  • A free digital subscription, studio attendance, and employee discounts on all retail products

  • A dynamic, creative, fun, and kind work environment centered around the workout method
