At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

This role is a hybrid position
Some roles require an office while others may be done remotely. This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of New York.

Reporting to the Global Social, Influencer and Community Lead, you will own the day-to-day execution of Sonos' owned social channels, from calendaring and publishing to performance reporting. You'll be the person who keeps the feed running on schedule, on brand, and backed by the numbers.

You'll also be part of the cross-functional team that comes up with what we actually post. You're not just reporting on what happened after the fact, you're bringing what the data and platform trends are telling you into the room early, so the ideas Brand Creative, Brand Strategy, and Influencer & Community land on are informed by what's actually resonating.

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role on a lean team. You'll need to be comfortable owning the operational backbone of social (the calendar, the publishing queue, the reporting) while also having a point of view worth bringing to the table when it's time to plan what's next.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the Social Content Calendar: Build and maintain the day-to-day publishing calendar across Sonos' owned channels, coordinating with Brand Creative, regional teams, and Influencer & Community to keep it current, conflict-free, and aligned to broader campaign timing.

  • Publish and Manage Owned Channels: Schedule and publish content across all owned social platforms, with a quality-control eye for accuracy, timing, and formatting before anything goes live.

  • Own Social Analytics and Reporting: Track and report on channel and content performance on a regular cadence, turning raw data into insights the team can actually act on.

  • Bring Data to the Idea Table: Sit in on cross-functional ideation with Brand Creative, Brand Strategy, and Influencer & Community, using performance data and platform trends to help shape content and campaign ideas before they're finalized.

  • Monitor Platform and Cultural Trends: Keep a pulse on platform changes, emerging formats, and cultural moments that could inform content or scheduling decisions.

  • Support Campaign Coordination: Assist in scheduling and publishing around product launches, earned media moments, and brand campaigns in partnership with the wider Communications team.

  • Maintain Content Quality and Consistency: Proofread and quality-check content before it publishes, ensuring brand voice, accuracy, and formatting stay consistent across channels.

  • Manage Tools and Platforms: Maintain working proficiency in the team's social media management and analytics platforms, and flag opportunities to improve workflows and reporting.

You Are:

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong sense of ownership over deadlines and day-to-day execution

  • Comfortable translating performance data into clear, actionable takeaways, not just charts and numbers

  • A collaborative teammate who brings insight to group ideation without needing to own the final creative call

  • Familiar with major social platforms and what performs natively on each of them

  • A clear communicator, comfortable coordinating across teams, functions, and time zones

  • Organized under pressure, able to juggle multiple channels and deadlines at once without dropping the details

  • Eager to grow within social, influencer, and community marketing

  • Genuinely interested in music, audio, or consumer culture

What You’ll Need:

  • 3-4 years of experience in social media coordination, content operations, or a similar role

  • Native fluency in Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and whatever's next, you're the person who spots a new format, sound, or platform shift before it shows up in a trend report

  • Experience with social media management and scheduling platforms

  • Experience with social analytics tools, and comfort pulling and interpreting performance reporting

  • Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills

  • Comfortable contributing ideas and data-backed perspective in a cross-functional setting

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. If you don’t have 100% of the skills listed, we strongly encourage you to apply if interested.
