Company Overview

We're scaling the best YouTube agency in the world.

We've assembled a crazy-talented group of YouTube strategists and creative minds who've collectively generated over 110 billion views and shaped how YouTube works today. Our founder, Ryan Hashemi, spent seven years building Jubilee Media into a 14-million-subscriber, 5-billion-view powerhouse with four Emmy nominations, and trained the person who now runs MrBeast's studio.

Now we're helping the world's biggest brands crack the code on YouTube and make content that people actually want to watch at scale.

We lead YouTube creative and content programming as a strategic channel. We staff and train in-house YouTube teams for clients, hiring video producers, editors, and strategists, and build long-form and short-form storytelling systems designed to compound over time. The result: content that earns millions of views, builds loyal audiences, and drives conversions.

How We Hire

We don't screen for pedigree. We evaluate individual superpowers, high agency, curiosity, creative judgment, learning velocity, and the ability to do exceptional work.

Our team includes SVP-level Condé Nast alumni working alongside self-taught YouTube strategists. We've got a flat culture and believe a good idea can come from anywhere.

For this role, we're looking for someone who already has a foundation in social video or creative strategy and can bring strong creative instincts to the work while continuing to learn Snowball's approach.

We care less about where you learned it and more about whether you can look at a piece of content, understand why it's working or not working, make smart strategic decisions, and turn those decisions into better creative.

The Role

We're looking for a highly curious, organized, and creatively driven Social Video Creative Strategist to help us scale the short-form content we create for some of the world's biggest brands.

This is a mid-level role for someone who has already worked in social video, short-form strategy, branded content, creator media, or a closely related space and is ready to take greater ownership of the creative process.

A major focus of the role will be turning long-form YouTube content into strategically optimized short-form cutdowns. You'll identify the strongest moments from long-form content, determine how they should be packaged for short-form audiences, translate those ideas into clear briefs, and work closely with editors through revisions until the content is ready to ship.

Alongside that work, you'll contribute to original short-form strategy, creative research, content ideation, and broader social video strategy for our clients.

You'll also own the organization and follow-through required to get that work across the finish line: managing assignments, keeping editors and creators moving, tracking timelines and revisions, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

We're looking for someone who can step into the work quickly, operate with meaningful independence, and continue growing into broader strategic ownership as Snowball scales.

What You'll OwnShort-Form & Cutdown Strategy
  • Watch and analyze long-form YouTube content to identify the strongest opportunities for short-form cutdowns

  • Determine which moments, narratives, hooks, and ideas have the greatest potential to earn attention in a short-form environment

  • Decide how long-form content should be curated, reframed, restructured, or optimized for short-form audiences

  • Turn those opportunities into clear, actionable creative briefs for editors

  • Provide direction around structure, hooks, pacing, storytelling, framing, retention, and platform-specific optimization

  • Review editor cuts and provide thoughtful, specific creative feedback through multiple rounds of revisions

  • Own cutdowns from initial concept through final approval

  • Independently manage cutdown workstreams across one or more clients

  • Continuously improve the work based on creative learnings, performance, and audience behavior

Creative Research & Strategy
  • Research short-form trends, formats, creators, competitors, brands, and emerging audience behaviors

  • Source relevant examples and references to inspire client work

  • Study why certain pieces of content earn attention and translate those insights into actionable creative decisions

  • Contribute to the development of original short-form content strategies

  • Generate concepts, formats, series ideas, and creative territories for brands

  • Think creatively about how brands can earn attention organically across social platforms

  • Help translate broader brand and channel goals into social-first creative

  • Partner with senior strategists on broader content and audience strategy

  • Take increasing ownership of original strategy as you demonstrate strong creative judgment

Content Ownership & Execution
  • Manage your assignments and creative workflows in Asana

  • Coordinate with editors and creators to keep work moving

  • Track deliverables, timelines, revisions, and outstanding feedback across multiple pieces of content

  • Follow up proactively when something is at risk of slipping

  • Ensure creators and editors have what they need and are delivering against agreed timelines

  • Keep briefs, edits, feedback, and final deliverables organized and accounted for

  • Flag problems early and help solve them rather than waiting for someone else to step in

  • Balance creative quality with the volume and speed required across a growing short-form slate

  • Take ownership of the work from assignment through completion

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who already has experience doing this work but is still hungry to learn, improve, and take on more.

You might come from a creative agency, social agency, creator studio, media company, brand content team, production company, or another environment where you've developed a strong understanding of social video.

You should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in social video, short-form content strategy, creative strategy, branded content, creator media, or a closely related field

  • Experience developing or shaping content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts

  • Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, retention, and what earns audience attention

  • Experience reviewing videos and giving clear, actionable creative feedback to editors

  • Ability to look at long-form content and identify the moments with the strongest short-form potential

  • Experience developing creative briefs and translating strategic thinking into execution

  • Experience contributing to original social content ideas, formats, or strategies

  • Strong awareness of creators, internet culture, social platforms, and evolving content behaviors

  • Ability to articulate why you believe a creative decision will work rather than relying exclusively on instinct

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assets and workstreams simultaneously

  • Comfort with Google Sheets, Excel, or similar tools for organizing information and workflows

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort operating independently in a fast-moving remote environment

And, just as importantly, you are:

  • Crazy curious. You naturally ask why something works, why people pay attention, why one intro performs better than another, and what could make the next version stronger.

  • High agency. You don't wait around for perfect instructions. You identify what needs to happen and move it forward.

  • A fast learner. You can understand a new framework quickly, incorporate feedback, and demonstrate that learning in your next round of work.

  • Low ego. You bring a point of view, but you're willing to challenge your assumptions and learn a different approach when it makes the work better.

  • Highly organized. You're capable of managing a large volume of assets, revisions, editors, creators, and deadlines without things falling through the cracks.

  • A strong problem solver. When something isn't working, your instinct is to understand why and find a solution.

  • Creative and analytical. You can generate ideas while also breaking content down to understand the mechanics behind why it works.

  • Reliable. You follow through, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for getting work across the finish line.

  • Genuinely obsessed with content. You're interested in the creators, formats, platforms, behaviors, and cultural shifts shaping what people watch.

Bonus Points

None of these are required, but we'd be especially interested if you have:

  • Experience at a creator studio, creative agency, social agency, media company, or brand content team

  • Experience developing content for major brands or high-profile creators

  • Experience owning a short-form content stream or channel

  • Experience turning long-form content into high-performing short-form content

  • Experience working directly with editors and creators

  • Experience reviewing performance data and applying those learnings to future creative

  • Experience working directly with clients

  • Personal content creation experience combined with an interest in the strategy behind the content

What Success Looks Like

Early on, you'll learn Snowball's approach, clients, and internal systems while quickly stepping into active short-form workstreams.

You'll be able to take a long-form video, understand the client's goals and broader strategy, identify the strongest short-form opportunities, create strong briefs, work with editors through revisions, and bring the content to a near-final state with minimal oversight.

You'll independently keep your content moving, manage timelines and feedback loops, and make sure the operational details surrounding your creative work don't fall through the cracks.

As you establish trust, you'll contribute more deeply to original content strategy, research, ideation, and the development of new short-form formats and creative systems.

Success in this role means becoming someone we can hand a piece of content, a client, or a creative problem to and trust that you'll think deeply about it, own the process, and make the work better.
