About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing fast — both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

Polymarket is looking for a Software Engineer to own and improve the developer experience across our APIs, SDKs, and documentation. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and product thinking: your job is to understand how external developers integrate with Polymarket, identify where things break down, and ship improvements that make the path to success faster and more intuitive. You'll work closely with engineers across the company, use developer feedback to drive prioritization, and build a track record of meaningful, measurable improvements to how the world builds on Polymarket.

What You'll Do
  • Improve APIs, SDKs, and docs. Own the quality, consistency, and usability of Polymarket's developer-facing surfaces – finding gaps, fixing them, and raising the bar for what great developer experience looks like.

  • Reduce time to first success. Identify integration friction and turn it into practical improvements that help external developers get up and running faster. You'll ramp quickly on our APIs, SDKs, and docs and ship meaningful improvements early and often.

  • Partner across engineering. Work closely with engineers to improve usability, consistency, and quality across developer-facing systems, becoming a trusted contributor across key Dev Tooling initiatives over time.

  • Close the feedback loop. Debug developer issues, gather signals from how developers are getting stuck, and use those insights to guide what gets built next.

  • Operate with autonomy and impact. Drive high-impact Dev Tooling workstreams independently, with strong product judgment and measurable results on developer experience and adoption.

  • Ship with leverage. Use AI consistently as part of your development workflow – to accelerate implementation, debugging, and documentation – while maintaining quality and sound technical judgment.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong engineering skills with a track record in TypeScript and/or JavaScript, plus at least one strongly typed compiled language (Rust, Go, C#, Kotlin, Swift, or C++)

  • Experience building or maintaining SDKs, APIs, or developer documentation

  • API and SDK fluency: you understand what makes developer-facing interfaces clear, consistent, and easy to integrate

  • Developer experience judgment: you recognize friction quickly and improve workflows in ways that feel natural to developers

  • Strong written communication and close attention to interface and documentation quality

  • Consistent, demonstrated use of AI tools over the last 6+ months as part of your engineering workflow

  • Able to operate with strong autonomy and good product judgment in a fast-moving environment

  • (Plus) Experience integrating APIs and SDKs into React applications

  • (Plus) Familiarity with blockchain, trading, or developer platforms

Benefits
  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage

  • 401k match

  • Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
