Software Engineer, Embedded, Level 3

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join the Spectacles team!
 

What you’ll do:

• Design and implementation of software in both prototype and shipping consumer products 

• Conduct design reviews and code review with peers and stakeholders to create reliable solutions

• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues 

• Design and develop SW for Spectacle’s OS and Application Framework for AR devices

• Collaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering teams distributed across multiple offices

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to craft scalable solutions in a resource constraint environment with due considerations for memory, power, thermal tradeoffs

• Excellent analytical, programming and debugging skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

• Hands on experience developing camera software st
   

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent years of experience

• Proficiency programming in C++ and/or Kotlin/Java

• Experience in one or more of the following areas:  Operating Systems, Android/Linux Embedded OS and Framework with a view towards writing performant and energy efficient solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field such as computer science or electrical engineering

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
