The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Clear Street Frontend team, you’ll help architect and build the next generation of Clear Street Active, our high-performance trading platform tailored for active traders. The platform integrates real-time market data, low-latency execution workflows, and advanced trading tools into a performant, responsive web interface. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team on large-scale initiatives that deliver high-impact solutions and shape the future of our prime brokerage experience.

Tech Stack: Typescript, React, Next.js, NodeJS

Requirements:

• You have at least eight (8) years of professional experience implementing web applications.
• 3+ years of experience working with modern web technologies, including demonstrated success at a Senior or higher Engineer level
• Expertise in building and maintaining high-performance, scalable web applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js
• You prioritize end user experience, and it shows in your APIs design, functionality, and performance.
• You have a strong command over design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• You like working in a team first environment.
• You take pride in the quality of your work and hold yourself to a high standard.
• Passion for creating a best-in-class developer experience, with an eye for tooling, performance, and maintainability
• Bonus: Experience with build tools and compilers such as Babel, Webpack, or Bazel

The Base Salary Range for this role is $170,000 - $240,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
